I agree they are bad news. The also don't pay their bills. I know a contractor who did work for them and then they refused to pay. Claimed that the contractor did not do work for them.

I have had numerous parties at Villa Lombardis and have had nothing but great experiences. Every employee from the valet to the coat check was exceptional. It is really surprising to hear anything negative about Villa Lombardis.

Gee why would it surprise you that someone would steal money or property from another .I am sure these are exceptional people because they are exceptional thieves, and if you get hit like I did Mgmt will hide until you go away!!They are not reputable or trustwortey.

I have just one question. What was robbed? I mean was it something out of your car? coatcheck? Or do you mean you booked a party there and you just feel like you were robbed?

I also heard this story. I wouldn't have any kind of affair at any of their properties. They are bad news. Especailly the mother!

I also heard that they don't pay their bills. They are cheap and lie. I would never have any kind of affair at any of their facilities.

I have also heard many of what is being said. I know many people that have worked for them and live in the Holbrook area that have all said that the Lombardi family are miserable people that are impossible to work for and that they would stab their own family in the back to make a buck.

These people don't steal. Is it possible that you fa**ots left your manbags unattended & someone stole your pocket mirror from you and you just want to have something to complain about? I think so. Jennifer, "especially the mother"? What are you even talking about?

From someone in the Restaurant Industry...I think they are terrible. My family has been serving Italian Food and Catering in NYC for over 30 years. We were referred by a family friend of the Lombardi's. One would think that they would look out for someone they know. As owners, you would think that the Lombardi's stand behind their reputation, but my Engagement Dinner was flawed and they promised me the Sun and Stars for our wedding. Boy did they not deliver, within a week i was getting numerous calls and mailers from all their vendors sometimes on weekend and at crazy hours..... who gives out someone private cell phone number??? I was pissed because i work nights and told them i was in the business! First they denied they gave my info out, finally after me calling they found out that they do give out your info to their vendors. After the 6th time i got a call waking me up I lost it and started trying to reach a manager, they told me they contacted all vendors not to call me anymore. A week later i got 2 more calls from their vendors! The ONLY good thing about these people is their FOOD, otherwise I would never recommend ANY of the Lombardi Establishments. I requested a manager or owner call me back and never heard from anyone until i wrote a letter of cancellation. Then i got 3 calls to stop me from canceling which I wont do now that i know how they work. Then it took 2 months to get a refund, and they kept a percentage for fees incurred from a credit card charge. They are Sneaky, Deceptive, and Do NOT Care about the Customer! I will NEVER recommend this place to ANYONE!

These stupid Guineas found out a waiter was having an affair with a hostess. So what did they do? They fired the hostess, and kept the affair quiet so the waiters WIFE WOULDN'T find out. These scum bags hate women. They actually treat them WORSE then any Jersey Shore or random long island WOP would. Now that's unbelievable!

BTW the girl's name was Liz, and it happened in July of 2010.

I am representing her in her civil suit against the company.

I cannot believe all the crap I just read. The Lombardi family puts on a DAMN good wedding. My sister was married there and now I am getting married there. The food, the service, and the staff are incredible. What goes on behind the scenes is not really any of our business now is it??? Every work place has its share of stories and crap! A cousin of mine worked for Lombardi's and yes at times they can be difficult to work for but so can anyone else. And to the comment made about the Lombardi's doing anything to make a buck...who isn't these days? Ummmm, hello! And even with that said, I received an amazing package from them at a reasonable price. Stop talking shit as if you know, get your facts straight. And to the person that got robbed, ummm that can happen anywhere. Besides it CLEARLY states in their contract that they are NOT responsible for any lost, damaged, or stolen possesions. READ! Bottom line is, they know how to do it. And to those of you that like to bitch and moan and be snotty people, well you get what you put out in this world. You want a positive result than start by having a positive attitude!!

I agree with all the bad comments on this site, they treat customers/employees awful, don't use their coat room because if your coat gets stolen they will not pay for a new coat.......even if they have an attendant, who does not speak English, working in the coat room, put your coats on the back of your chairs, how embarrasing to have an affair there & your guest gets their coat stolen & they do not want to replace the coat, they act like it was your fault!!!!!!!!! real zips......

Well, I have read the comments here and I have to put in my 2 cents.

First I am one of the vendors at the Lombardi's establishments.

I have dealt with the Lombardi family for over 15 years now and can honestly say that any reception I had or was an attendee at, or was a hired vendor by the the bride, groom or whomever has always gone off without a hitch. They bend over backwards for their customers, so I do not understand some of these negative posts.

I would highly recommend the Lombardi's establishments without even batting an eye.

I have been to their restaurant and to their two halls on several occassions. They're not the least expensive place to go, but I can't say anything bad about them. Their food is great and their service attentive. At catered events special needs are cheerfully met.

ok I also feel I have to add to this forum. I live in Holbrrok, and do think Lombardis has wonderful food. We eat at their Easter Buffet at the Villas every year for the past 5 or 6 years now...myself a bit reluctantly for a few reasons. My mom passed away from brain cancer 3 years ago she ABSOLUTELY loved the food at Lombardis...two months before she passed away she was in the hospital on Easter Sunday and our family of 16 was having the buffet and then heading over to the hospital to see her, we explained the situation to the manager that our mom was dying and could we pay the $62.50 for the buffet and have THEM pack up a small takeout dish so we could bring it to her since she LOVED their food so much. They refused. we do not pack up food to take away they told us..we were not looking for a doggie bag we were willing to PAY $62.50 for a small dish of food just so she could enjoy what was to be her last Easter dinner...REFUSED!! told us to go to the pizza place to get a take out dinner....after we jsut dropped $1000 in their establishment ...how we even go back there and give them our business is beyond me but majority rules and everyone loves the food. but that was HORRIBLE... a dying woman and they refused. My daughter has worked for Lombardis on two occasions. Once 6 years ago as a teenager in The Market, and had such a horrible experience, being treated poorly, she ended up quitting. She more recently took a job as a hostess at Lombardis on the Bay in Patchogue and had $120 and cigarettes stolen out of her purse that was left inside the podium where she stood. Now of course you can't blame the Lombardis for this, but when she discovered the missing items and reported it to them, they called her a liar and told her NO ONE would EVER steal in their establishemnt. She wasn't looking for Lombardis to replace anything but just to acknowledge it happened and to look into the incident. they refused...she ended up quitting there as well. I am sorry... they have lost touch with humanity. and the only thing keeping them going is the quality of their food.
