Are there any bad sections (streets to avoid when purchasing a home) in Lake Grove, NY? Thank you.

You can pretty much tell by looking at the houses in the vicinity of the one you're thinking of purchasing. Most of Lake Grove is pretty good [by Long Island standards...]- the "worst" parts, are maybe a few blocks around Virginia Ave.(south of Sycamore)- and even that is prtetty much over the line into Ronkonkoma, technically. And the area east of Hawkins Ave. in the vicinity of Moriches Rd. isn't the greatest- but all in all, Lake Grove is about as good as you're going to get on LI - and if you end up having just one bad neighbor, it can be a nightmare regardless of the rest of the neighborhood; and if you send your kids to pubic[sic] school, they'll still be going to school with all the cretins from all the surrounding areas (and Centereach and Ronkonkoma have really gone to Hell as of late).

For a fraction of what you'd pay for a house in The Grove, you could live like a king in other states. Your mortgage payment could be less than what your property taxes alone are on Lawn Guyland.

Cretins? Who are you? Cream of the crop? Your comment is disgusting.

^Living in NY, you become immune to it, and stop noticing, as you become one. But the rest of the civilized world realizes that your profanity-spewing, BJ-giving undisciplined alcoholic brats are indeed cretins.
