Nuke these creeps, then burn down THEIR homes. My apologies to the creeps' families, but since you raised these monsters, you don't deserve a home.

defendants will be charged with 2nd degree murder by fact they were complicit in a felony resulting in the death of someone(actually they will get 3 counts given circumstances plus conspiracy & 1st degree robbery charges.... You will not see the death penalty here - they did not kill a cop, they did not torture anyone and all 3 victims are criminals of some sort(dane was the one guy's dealer and to be candid while what went down was utterly wrong, you can't angelize him given he had loads of drugs in his family's house where there was at least two youngs kids aroung(his son and his 12 y/o brother - had he been arrested, it could have cost his family their house for him having that crap there). At a guess given that you are talking suffolk county, the surviving felon that was in the house is looking at 25 to life or if plead, maybe 20 to life(normally all these charges run concurrently as it was a single incident). The driver, since he cooperated and did not carry a gun even if he planned it, is likely to get 15-20 to life unless goes to trial in which case i'd bet 25 to life.

its funny, but it seems like a lot of people are hitting thier dealers lately. There are times i'd think we'd be better off if marijuana at least was legalized.

This is the way justice should be served, 3 men dead, and all without wasting tax payers money on a trial. The grandson that states he never entered the home should be charged with murder as well. He should spend the rest of his life in jail. This was a great story with a great ending

What i find most ironic is the guy who held the family at gunpoint in their own home whom i dont believe cooperated with statements gets 5 million cash bail & this other kid who set it up but never carried it out, you know enter the home or possess a gun and cooperates with the suffering cty cops killing himself with statements gets held without bail because hes from a prominate family ,NOW THATS SUFFOLK JUSTICE FOR YOU.

Wait a minute, the victims are drug dealers and the perpetrators are scumbags? Forgive me if I don't shed a tear for any of these low-lifes. Now my tax dollars will be spent on a trial for these mutts? Please. Here's my less expensive solution (it could even make money):

Put all the parties in a racquetball court and lock the door. Place a hunting knife in the center of the floor. Blow a whistle, and yell "GO". It's every man for himself. Whoever walks out alive does a 50 year stint in prison. It could be shown on Pay-per-view (that's where we make some real money).

John Collins is absolutely right! If it wasn't for that one boy, this would have never happened! They belong in jail for the rest of their lives!

Yes this is a bad situation. but i believe poor eric didnt think it would come down to 3 people dieing. Hes just a sheltered kid from miller place and didnt know what kind of scum bags he was dealing with. Shit happens and people live and learn. its sad that 3 people are dead. but something inside tells me that eric did not mean for anyone to get hurt. im sure all he saw was the fact that he wouldnt have to pay for weed for a while! Yes he is a fault for being the driver but it seems as if he wanted to be accepted by the wrong crowd. he didnt know what these guys were capable of. He really is a good kid. just on the wrong path. I pray for all those people who suffer a loss because of this situation.

"Poor Eric" is not a "good kid." Good kids do not do drugs, get guns, and set up robberies of their dealers.

THE FACT IS THAT THE RICH KID WHO ORGANIZED THE WHOLE HOME INVASION ROBBERY IS A FLIGHT RISK. HE HAS THE MEANS TO FLEE THE COUNTRY. THAT IS PROBABLY WHY THE JUDGE DIDN'T GIVE HIM BAIL. DUH!
However if you knew his family n the state of mind he was in u would know he wouldnt have done it or he would have before he was arrested! he comes from a well rounded family.
