Well...he murdered 3 people and gets to live 20 years on our dime receiving free housing, meals and medical care. Do you think a sane society should treat it's felons like this? He should have been executed the same hour the jury and judge convicted and sentenced him.

I think the death penalty system needs to be revised. Now that we have DNA and other tools that weren't available years ago, the gap between sentencing and execution needs to be shortened.

If a defendant is sentenced to death, they should be given a fair window to appeal (just to rule out the few innocent people that are truly wrongly convicted). Or maybe make a 2nd trial mandatory just to be triple sure that the person is indeed guilty beyond a reasonable doubt.

And then once the sentence is granted, the person should be executed within 1-5 years. Like "who cares" said...how is it that this person lived for 20 more years? His victims didn't get that chance so why should he? Maybe if real criminals are treated the way that they treat their victims, that will make people think twice.

GOOD,Why did it take so long. He did not give Dorothy and her daughters 20 more years. Why should he have had 20 years. America needs to become like other countries, when it comes to corpral punishment.
