Cj aka Clarence Lee was a really good friend of mine. He always was about having a good time and less drama. We are all going to miss him. As for club La Rouge, this is an unfortunit problem and situation, but it comes with the territory of being a hot up and coming club. People come from all different places to see whats going on and whats new. Sometimes you let in thugs and gangsters and wanna be's and all they're looking for is some drama. In this case we should all keep our heads up and keep pressing forward. C we all miss you. Rest in peace family.

I met CJ while we were stationed together at Shaw AFB. He was more than a co-worker, or a friend. CJ was like a big-brother to me and throughout the years we maintained a strong friendship and an even stronger bond. The last time I spoke to him was when his father passed and I never had the chance to say "good-bye" or "I love you" just one last time......I am numb. Cj will be missed!!! To all the know it alls.Get the facts before you start rambling off not knowing what happen I to feel for the young man that got shot, but I feel just as bad for the young man who did the shooting so before you guys start calling him a thug an a dumb guy know that he is a son ,brother an a father an is loved just as well.We should be praying for both families.

@ aDirtyworld I didn't know the shooter, but I've known Clarence for the last 10 yrs, not know of him, I know him & no he's not from there, he was just ststioned there. A "thug" CJ was not, it wasn't in him, he was a very outstanding individual who didn't like confrontations or drama. I don't know what happened that night & probably never will, but what I do know is that two young men have both lost their lives. Eldridge is 22 w/ two babies, he will more than likely be in prison for most of his adult life & his children's lives. This situation is a pure tragedy, that was probably completely avoidable.

For those who defend the shooter, I agree with you. He's not a thug but a coward. Not for the simple fact of the shooting itself, but also for not thinking about his family he would leave behind for something so senseless. I'm sorry for his family, but will not lose one minute of sleep for him. We only get one life and we have to be conscious of thst fact at all times. If walking away from a fight means looking like a punk, then there should be more punks. Cj you will be truly missed and loved always. God rest your soul.

Dirtyworld, you must be from Louisiana and think that taking a life is an ok thing to do. Yo boy LaBlanc should have manned up fought with his fist. He was a father and should know how precious life is, so for him to take a life, then he's should be taken. CJ was close friend and lover and he was a good dude. He cared about eveyone he was friends with. LaBlanc has hurt CJs mother in ways you couldn't imagine. She had to bury her husband 3 wks ago and no she has to bury her own son. You are one f*cked up person to believe that LaBlanc taking a man's life was an ok thing to do. You don't know CJ, keep his name out of your mouth, if you never knew him.

I actually knew both of them.........they were both good men......Its ridiculously unfortunate that this took place as both of them had family and friends who loved them nd are affected by this situation significantly. There's loss of a CJ as a son and Remy as a father. In this day in age its unfortunate that things escalate to this stage b/c now we are at a loss of 2 men in our lives for everybody that knew them. No one is a saint but that that doesnt make either one a thug, including the shooter. No one will ever know what escalated this situation to where it went but no ones a saint or a victim--something happened to get it where it went and its in gods hands now--my blessings go out to both families. God forgive and protect.........

Check it, I have know CJ for a minute and nobody's perfect.. Did he deserved to loose his life? No, I think that dude who pulled the trigger was a coward. And there is no way anybody can take up for the dude that pulled the trigger. You can't fight so you, shoot. That is the mentality of this day. I deal with all the time at the club. So hopefully while he sitting down in jail he is thinking about how it only takes one second to ruin the rest of your life. No one can justify murder after you flee the scene like a coward. If he was so bad and was defending his self why didnt he stay and wait for the police.. A real man would have stayed there and took that.

It's sad for anyone to lash out at CJ's friends and family because they've expressed their anger and feelings about the man who took him away from them. That reaction is normal, and if the tables were turned, it would be the same on the other end. What Eldridge did WAS foolish, and if I were his father or brother, I'd still feel that way. CJ may not have been a saint, but who is? What he was however, was an Airman serving to help protect his country, and didn't have a weapon-ready for a shoot out. So, whomever was so insensative to post comments against greiving loved ones to defend or justify that foolish act is just as foolish and most likely capable of doing the same thing. I pray you never have to deal with the same hurt as them.

Everybody acting like the guy who shot CJ did not get dragged out of his car??? I don't condone violenc, but if the shoes were on the other foot CJ may have shot the other guy. The facts will come out and I do not think the shooter will do much time if at all.

how can you defend Leblanc? He pistol whipped him AFTER shooting him??? How is that excusable. Even if he was in fear, CJ was off of him after that shot. why continue????
Ghost says CJ may have done the same...NOT! CJ first off is too big for anyone to just drag out of a vehicle so I know he would not have been scared enough to do some punk ISH like pull a gun. He didnt pull a gun at all that night so what gave leblanc the right to pull one? cause he was scared someone may punch him??? Men need to be MEN!
ALSO Larouge isnt the kind of club that normally carries a rowdy crowd. Its normally something for the civilized people who like to have good clean SAFE fun/interaction. It just so happened that night they didnt enforce their normal rules which led to some unsavory characters being there. I dont know Leblanc so i wont judge his character and i know his family/friends have had a loss as well but we need to take respnsibility for our actions. He messed up. They shouldnt have been fighting at all but CJ is one who takes up for people and thats what he was trying to do. It clearly escalated to fast and now my homie is gone. RIP CJ

I am just hearing the news about Clarence. I've known him since high school--we played ball together and I've even hung out with him a few times when he was stationed at the AFB in North Charleston. He was fun to be around and he will surely be missed. Rest In Peace.
