As an animal lover and an exanimal warden in the Hunterdon and Plainfield areas, I support that officer. Every summer papers run ads warning of the death of pets and children left in cars in the heat.it only takes a mtter of seconds for car temperatures to rise to unbearable levels. When I worked in Hunterdon County we were told bust out a window to allow the animal air then to take the pet and leave notice that the pet was taken by the ASPCA and charges of cruelty would be pressed against the owners..Had the owner not left her pet in that car it would still be alive today. The officer did what he should have done..I congradulate him. I am sorry the woman had to learn a hard lesson the hard way but maybe now she will be a better pet owner and take better care of her pets.
