I knew Ernie professionally, and she was such a good woman. I can't believe after the health battles she's overcome she had to face death like this...it's just appauling someone of such good character had to face this. I'm just sick.

I was Erne's friend, too. I am sick and stunned that such a good person should be shown such disrespect and violence, especially by someone she loved. It is vile and viciously wrong. I cannot believe she is gone.
Please tell her family that there are many friends of HERS that love and miss her. We wish to honor her, but do not know how. You are the first person I have come across has any knowledge of her people. Please tell your mom to tell Erne's brother, and her whole family, how much we care. She is not forgotten. Ever.

Those of us in her craft community (knitting for me) are also devastated. So sudden, so wrong. She was just amazing. No one deserves this, and especially not her.

We do not know her family, and without invading their privacy, have been trying to find ways of sending condolences. If you have heard of any arrangements, please respond and tell us so we can do right by her. We miss her lots. Please let your coworkers know, too, we share in their loss.

She's unquestionably missed by anyone whose life she touched. I'm so sorry for your feeling of emptiness as well. She had been given a clean bill of health a little over a week before the incident and her family said she was looking forward to a healthy, long life ahead of her. Just so tragic.
Anyways, perhaps if you contact the funeral home where her service was held on April 4 would be able to pass along your condolences. Here's their info:

Thank you for this. I will pass this site and info along, and we will make sure she is remembered for how she lived her life, and not for how it ended. The papers reported that it was confirmed that her cancer had returned and that she was terminal; based on this, local "friends", inconceivably, called it "devotion", and a suicide pact. This reporting is insult to injury. No wonder the family refused to comment.

I am sorry for your loss, as well.

God Bless,

gaila G!

Just found out from a JPMChase ex-coworker and this has taken me by "surprise"...
So sad, as they both (Andy and Ernie) where the best managers and people I ever meet in my profession and life in NY and US.
By the way the reporting of this story happened though by the local journalists is totally uncalled for!
So sorry for Ernie... The sweetest woman I have ever meet!
