Just because you're paranoid doesn't mean they're not out to get you.

You're all right! The police/FBI/etc. should have sat around outside the Garden with their eyes shut and if any anarchists groups individually or within any immigration / homelessness / greenhouse gasses / etc. rally had engaged in a sit in at W 34th and 8th, they should have just resigned and accepted the criticism that the public / politicians / media would have heaped on them for being remiss from being prepared for every possible eventuality. How dare they verify with their own eyes that she wasn't fomenting confrontation? They could have just taken her word for it!

This could all be BS as well. No complaint filed with any law enforcement, DA, attorney, etc? No proof of who "might" be following her. Could be attention-getting tactic.

The best way to cope with scare tactics - any scare tactic - is to publicize them loud and wide to bring exposure and/or embarrassment to the offenders. Their undercover status makes them feel more powerful and dangerous, and blowing their cover just ruins it for them.
Contact every (independent) media outlet, influential blogs, youtube, formal complaints, whatever, anything that gets amateur investigators on the case to find out the harrassers' names, addresses, companies, etc. The scrutiny will make it clear to the harrassers that they've been caught in the act. At the very least they'll retreat to the slimehole they came from, even if only to regroup.

Instead of cowering in a coffee shop, I'd be out there hunting those bastards down with a camera and posting their photos and license plate on every pole in town. Evil always cringes from the light. Leaflet the whole neighborhood with their pictures. Duh!!!

if her story had any truth she would have run to Mr Siegel from the NYCLU and had a news conference in front of 1PP.

Isn't it a shame Mr Bush's concern for freedom for the Iraqi people is not mirrored by equal concern for the freedom of the American people.

If you feel it's okay to let the government spy on citizens without the oversight provided by warrants because you've got nothing to hide, you'll wake up one day finding that what you have to hide is your dislike of the government you've wound up living under.

Hmmmm. Well, the similarities to "police stateism" seem to be growing by leaps and bounds, eh? Just keep the "peasants" fearful, and we can do as we please, say the nazis. It has always worked, alas.

The total master of instilling fear in a population was probably Josef Stalin. He instructed his agents to murder people *at random* in the villages, etc. "Unacceptable behavior" wasn't even a criterion. Now, that takes creative thinking, eh?

Why does it seem that the planet has been run only by psychopaths, in recent memory and today? Very sad.

Oh poor Baby! What are folks doing that they do not want seen? I am very aware of Extreme organizations being loosely connected,,almosy ALL Left Wing. Something as (harmless) as enviromental organizations that have fire bombed and destroyed millions of property..all innocent enough..until you look deeper..just ask Eugene Oregon!
