This is really funny. Bush has been in hiding for the longest time until now.

Bush is set to give a speech on swiss bank accounts on the Cayman islands where Romney keeps millions of his dollars.

This is too funny.

Lol!

As The Hill and some other news outlets have reported, Mitt Romney received fewer votes from members of the Church of the Latter Day Saints than Bush. It wasn't a landslide difference: 80% of the Mormon vote went to Bush in 2004; 78% to Romney in 2012. But even if the figure is subject to a statistical margin of error (based on exit polling), it does make one wonder why Mitt didn't get closer to 100% of the Mormon vote.

Maybe, it's that there are an increasing number of liberal Mormons.

Or maybe, just as Romney was rejected by his birth state of Michigan and the state that he was governor of (Massachusetts), the more people who know Mitt, the less they like him.

It would be easy to satirize Romney's devotion to being a Mormon. Until this election, Evangelicals largely considered the religion that Joseph Smith founded in upstate New York, after claiming to be visited by an angel, as a cult.

Stephen Pizzo, who is a contributor to BuzzFlash, wrote a commentary mocking the Mormon practice of wearing holy underwear:

Defeated GOP presidential candidate, Mitt Romney, met with leaders of the LDS (Mormon) Church this morning, telling them that he believes he was the victim of liberal witches.

"I know it sounds outlandish, even silly," Romney told reporters as he left his meeting at LDS headquarters here this morning. "But my holy underwear never failed me, never. Even when I invested in horrible companies, that later failed and all the workers

A week after losing the election to President Obama, Mitt Romney blamed his overwhelming electoral loss on what he said were big “gifts” that the president had bestowed on loyal Democratic constituencies, including young voters, African-Americans and Hispanics.

In a conference call on Wednesday afternoon with his national finance committee, Mr. Romney said that the president had followed the “old playbook” of wooing specific interest groups —“especially the African-American community, the Hispanic community and young people,” Mr. Romney explained — with targeted gifts and initiatives.

If I understand Romney correctly, winning votes because of policies that benefit the middle class, minorities, and the poor is bad. But winning votes and tons of donor cash because of policies that will make rich people even richer is just fine and dandy. So glad we cleared that up.

Mitt Romney is sore-loser cross,
Blaming targeted “gifts” for his loss.
Mitt in essence describes
Good programs as bribes
To Blacks, Youths, Hispanics. What dross!

Romney is a liar and in denial as to the real reason he lost.
That ramble of his is a coping device to mask his shame and humiliation at losing to President Obama whom he knew he was going to beat; wishful thinking on his part.

When center-left pundits are critical of Republican extremism, it's expected. When a former aide to George W. Bush and John McCain does it, the criticism resonates a little louder. In this case, it's Mark McKinnon, who wants "a new Republican Party."

Increasingly, it is becoming clear that the party is against everything and for nothing.

Nothing on taxes. Nothing on gun control. Nothing on climate change. Nothing on gay marriage. Nothing on immigration reform (or an incremental, piece-by-piece approach, which will result in nothing). It's a very odd situation when the losing party is the party refusing to negotiate. It may be how you disrupt, but it is not how you govern, or how you ever hope to regain a majority.

And so, we have a Republican Party today willing to eliminate any prospect for a decent future for anyone, including itself, if it cannot be a future that is 100 percent in accordance with its core beliefs and principles. That's not governing. That's just lobbing hand grenades. If you're only standing on principle to appear taller, then you appear smaller. And the GOP is shrinking daily before our eyes.

An Ode to Bush

Following is the letter of resignation sent last week by former President George Bush to the National Rifle Association: May 3, 1995

Dear Mr. Washington,

I was outraged when, even in the wake of the Oklahoma City tragedy, Mr. Wayne LaPierre, executive vice president of N.R.A., defended his attack on federal agents as "jack-booted thugs." To attack Secret Service agents or A.T.F. people or any government law enforcement people as "wearing Nazi bucket helmets and black storm trooper uniforms" wanting to "attack law abiding citizens" is a vicious slander on good people.

Al Whicher, who served on my [ United States Secret Service ] detail when I was Vice President and President, was killed in Oklahoma City. He was no Nazi. He was a kind man, a loving parent, a man dedicated to serving his country -- and serve it well he did.

In 1993, I attended the wake for A.T.F. agent Steve Willis, another dedicated officer who did his duty. I can assure you that this honorable man, killed by weird cultists, was no Nazi.

John Magaw, who used to head the U.S.S.S. and now heads A.T.F., is one of the most principled, decent men I have ever known. He would be the last to condone the kind of illegal behavior your ugly letter charges. The same is true for the F.B.I.'s able Director Louis Freeh. I appointed Mr. Freeh to the Federal Bench. His integrity and honor are beyond question.

Both John Magaw and Judge Freeh were in office when I was President. They both now serve in the current administration. They both have badges. Neither of them would ever give the government's "go ahead to harass, intimidate, even murder law abiding citizens." (Your words)

I am a gun owner and an avid hunter. Over the years I have agreed with most of N.R.A.'s objectives, particularly your educational and training efforts, and your fundamental stance in favor of owning guns.

However, your broadside against Federal agents deeply offends my own sense of decency and honor; and it offends my concept of service to country. It indirectly slanders a wide array of government law enforcement officials, who are out there, day and night, laying their lives on the line for all of us.

You have not repudiated Mr. LaPierre's unwarranted attack. Therefore, I resign as a Life Member of N.R.A., said resignation to be effective upon your receipt of this letter. Please remove my name from your membership list. Sincerely,[ signed ] George Bush
