If he was impaired due to alcohol or drugs he needs to fess up. Denial will only prolong the problem.

If he was impaired due to vision and/or a foot injury he needs to apologize for choosing to drive and placing many lives in jeopardy.

Two caveats. 30 mph in a 50 mph zone is seriously low depending on the distance traveled at that speed, traffic/weather conditions, etc.

While it is true the portable breathalizer is not capable of a precise measurement, it is usually only off by +/-.025 at most and more than capable of establishing reasonable suspicion that someone is under the influence.

Just my 2 cents.

Lies, lies, lies..........

I have more respect for Karamatsu and Waiahele because they pleaded no contest.

If he was innocent he should have taken the breathalyser.

His wife should kick his okole for endangering their 2 kids by driving drunk and blind.

++++++++++

The judge should assign him 40 hours of community service just before Menor comes up for reelection.

You could have a street corner in Mililani with a bunch of supporters waving "reelect Menor" signs.

At the end there would be a smiling person in an orange jumpsuit holding a sign saying: "I am Menor and I am a drunk".

His only concern is getting re-elected. The cop that just got busted for DUI will probably be found guilty and the PD will also suspend him. He will lose thousand$, while Menor will collect thousand$ for his campaign. I do not know anything about Menor other than his lame excuses and refusal to take a breath test after he was arrested. Has he done any good in office? If not, do not let this DUI fall off the charts. And as always, follow the money.

I'm still waiting to hear him say/admit if he passed the breath test or not, and what the level was. It was published for Kimo Kahoano, Daniel Kim and Lisa Matsumoto...how come not his?

Waiter: "Hi Mr. Menor"

"Would you like a beverage with your dinner?"

Menor: "Yes please I'll have a glass of wine"

Waiter: "What size would you like...small, medium or large?"

Menor: "Make mine SMALL"

**********
Oh yes, where he went wine comes in small glasses now. MORE BULL!

Menor should let the dust settle. He has seven months to let the voters with very short memory forget about this.

TV reported his breathalyzer was .14 which equates to at least 6 glasses of wine.

But as Menor says "SMALL glasses". Assuming a SMALL glass is one-third the size of a standard wine glass,.14 equates to drinking about 18 glasses of wine.

The judge will not do that.

The democrats, Menor included, want to increase judges mandatory retirement from 70 to 80. Thus ensuring Governor Lingle cannot appoint judges during her term unless they die while on the bench.

With this legislation judges will all have connections within the Hawaii Democratic Party.(Card Carriers). They will all be associates of Menor: attorneys from his own party.(Talk about Russia and China)

Menor in all likelihood will receive a slap on the wrist, probably the DUI will be thrown-out and he'll just get a license suspension.

He actually has not apologized. That process will begin when admits what he has done. He should think about the rage people felt when Lankford made up his tale. Watergate wasn't about a break-in, it was about the cover-up. People didn't get mad because Hillary wasn't under fire, they got mad because she lied about it. Ronnie, it really doesn't matter if you get re-elected but in the process, your kids learn that lying and a smart laywer can help you get away with anything. They saw the whole thing. They know what you did. Show them how an upright person deals with a mistake.

He didn't take the breathlyzer test which an arrestee takes at the police station. He took the PAS test at the place of arrest. The PAS test is not proven to be scientifically reliable in court. However, the PAS test gives an indication of what the breathlyzer test will read. He refused to take the breathlyzer test after he was transported to the station. He obviously failed the PAS test and that's why he refused to take the breathyzer test at the station. His excuse that he refused tests after his arrest because of his leg injury is obviously ridiculous because a leg injury won't affect a breath test!!

In two weeks, the general public will forget about this and life for Menor will go back to "normal".

Even if this weak case goes to court, not much is going to happen to him (unless he has a past DUI). Maybe a fine or suspended license?

Any judge who hears this case is probably a friend or colleague of Menor or his dad. They probably belong to the same country club and run in the same social circles on this tiny island.

In a few years he'll probably be a Hawaii Congressman.

What a joke!

"one or two drinks"? Hmmmm. Why doesn't someone just go to the restaurant that served him and ask the waiters (or subpoena the itemized tab showing how many drinks he ordered)? Couldn't have been consumed by his underage kids, so it would show his own consumption. Or has his lawyer already "restrained" the restaurant from releasing that info? An observer at the concert Menor attended reported that Menor was walking normally with no indication of a limp from a "broken ankle". Is our Senator Menor trying to create "reasonable doubt" already?
