I shall pray with all my heart for all the people involved in this horrible accusation, the family of both sides, and the congregation at Antioch Church of Warren. We live in a society that is so ready to convict especially when it involves a CHRISTAIN leader, its like the vultures come out!

If this man is guilty well then prosecute him to the fullest extent of the law, but be careful if he is innocent for such things, Do NOT jump to conclusions there proof can actually be VERY innocent and have been twisted into an out of control content, the devil is the father of ALL deceit!

May God have his hand in this whole investigation and let it be his to control whether guilty or innocent for he will be the ultimate JUDGE in the end!

May God be with his family along with the family of the accuser, because either way they NEED prayer!

First of all, if you read the articles surrounding this case and watch the news that is quoting law enforcement, they have evidence, strong evidence, against Chris. They have also stated he has made "admissions". Now, I really don't think they would put him in jail on a $1 million dollar bond if the evidence wasn't strong enough to warrant it. It shocks me that everyone is "praying" for him, I mean c'mon look at the facts people he obviously did it and just because he is a "pastor" does not mean he is not capable of doing it. The other thing that seriously ticks me off is the fact he is on paid administrative leave! Like the church is condoning this behavior. I understand inncocent until proven guilty however let me point this out again, there is evidence, STRONG evidence to suggest otherwise.

Don't believe every thing you read. The media said he was out on bail, and I know for a fact that he never left Warren jail until he was tranferred to Macomb County jail. Lets wait and see what evidence does come out and let the court system do there job. Don't be so quick to judge.

Is this church & school still open? I had family members that used to attend there before moving out of state and they are concerned about what's going on there.

Does anyone know the status of the church? I heard at my church that the school & day care are closed & that former Pastor Crabb is still there. I don't know these things as facts, just heard it from a few parents that used to have kids in daycare there & have now moved them to the daycare at my church. It's so hard to understand how this could have gone on for so long in such a small environment, it seems from different comments, most of the kids knew, several kids have commented that he was constantly pulling the teenage boys out of class for hours at a time, even taking them off school property without any of the adults around there questioning this since it seems it happened on a daily basis. With his wife being a teacher in this small school, did she not question this, or secretaries or other teachers, it's hard to believe none of them saw the signs.

Christopher Settlemoir pled no contest, will be sentenced May 24, only facing sentencing of no less than 6.7 years & no more than 15, that sentencing is a shame to society & his victims.
Does anyone know how the church is proceeding, are they still supporting him?

Portion of transcripted recording of Chris Settlemoir
to his wife while on the phone in jail:

"I love you. I need you to do me a favor, though. They’re going to try to do a search warrant on our house. Take our laptop and just get rid of it.
Get rid of the computer.
Back when I was back in college I had that computer and I did have "things" on there before and ... it’s still on there.
Okay. Yeah just get rid of it. "

Where did you get this info. from the transcript? Have you attended any of the court proceeding? I read his wife is standing by him, that she is living with Chris Settlemoir's sister's family now & that he was refused bail ever since he was arrested because they were considered a flight risk, based on jail visitation conservastions between him & his wife.
Also read he had child molesting accusations when he was a college student in Hyles Anderson College in Hammond, Ind. He was running a church bus route when the accusations were made, the college removed him from the route for awhile & tried to cover it up.

News says he will appeal, looks like he will serve at least 81 months but is given credit for 360 some days served off that 81 months. Does anyone know what prison he's gonna serve his sentence in? He still hasn't apologized or admitted to his crimes but his attorney said after sentencing that Chris Settlemoir is looking forward to taking advantage of classes & counseling offered in prison regarding sexual crimes, so that's probably as close as he will get to admitting his crime, that's usually the case with arrogant jerks.
Not nearly enough time for the crime.

Anyone know if he's been moved from Macomb County Jail and where he will serve his sentence?
Also does anyone know where Antioch Baptist Church stands on this now? I pray they are no longer "standing behind" him.
