I worked for Norma Bush in 1978 to 1979. She is the mother of Elizabeth Bush. I used to ride my bike to work and she was very concerned for me. She told me about her daughter Elizebeth's murder. It stays with me today. This animal should never go free. He took a free spirit crippled a family and took away what we thought was a safe place to live. Kathrine M Johnson

A criminal has rights too, he should be aloud to reenter society and live his life. That being said I think we should only debate when he should reenter society. I think the day after his victim reenters society and starts living thier life he should be paroled, but not one day sooner.

So when your child is raped and mudered I hope you have the strength to ensure that the perp is paroled back to society.

Well, I have lived here all my life and was about 2 years in age behind Liz. I wasn't with law enforcement at the time, just a kid. This "man" kidnapped her, raped, and killed her, left her on an old county road. The only reason he didn't get the death penalty was because it wasn't used in Kansas at that time. He was an ex Army sargeant with a family. To say he should be allowed out is an uneducated liberal statement. Let him stay with you. This monster deserves no right to parole at all. The flawed justice system has provided this not the people of Kansas.

I don't think any of you read Shawn's post all the way through. He said that the subject should be paroled the day AFTER the victim regains their life.....which would be NEVER! Jeez.....you are all a little slow.

Daily Horoscope for January 6

Libra

Don't hold anything in, especially an emotional burden. The only way to drown the past is to open the floodgates. If you've got something to say, come right out and say it. The only people who might be offended by your honesty don't really matter in the grand scheme of things anyway, Libra. Great changes flow smoothly through your day. When you take charge, everyone feels at home.
