Seriously people, a person lost their LIFE! Imagine if it was your son, brother, husband, father. Would you want to read this silliness. Comment on the case- these posts sound like middle school kids wrote them.

Hey Lady!! I've been back here at work since 2:30.
Those Clowns think they are going to get a rise out of me.
I think they're funny as heck. I'm smarter than them on my worst day, than they are on their best.
They just like my Intelligence and keen sense of humor. They want to be just like me. But, no matter how much they wish, they just can't. Too bad, so sad.
Hi!
I'm almost afraid to post, but I've resorted myself to accept the fact that one of these idiots will change my posting at a later date when they respond.. As Long as people can see my Original Posting of today, I'll be OK.
Haven't been checking the postings lately....are they still being vile?
if so, to bad.

well, I guess we have some new crooked politicians in office. the speeches sound good at election time, seeing is believing.

Are you kidding a $500 bond for KILLING someone? This has got to be a joke. People get 25K bonds for robbing stuff at a store. This "woman" took a life! At least they got her, unlike in my boyfriend's case where the coward took off, hid for five years and is now free and clear. Imagine being able to run someone down, hide for 5 years and then never have to worry about being prosecuted? Wow! Only in CT!
"The driver who allegedly struck Burhance, Vicky Kloc, 49, of Spruce Street in Trumbull, was arrested at the scene and charged with driving while intoxicated and driving with a suspended license. She was released on $500 bond and will be arraigned Oct. 21 in Milford Superior Court."
Oct 21 has come and gone, does anyone know what the sentence was?

How much you want to bet it will be a slap on the wrist. Scumbags. I would think the civil suit will hurt them where it really hurts, since its clear they don't care about anyone but themselves.

They most certainly should. Sadly the sentence for the charges in both cases will not be very long.

You're right, Zelda. In CT at least it is who you know, not what you did. My personal belief at least in New Haven is that Dearington needs to give up his office to someone who actually will prosecute cases, not cover them up and not LOSE files on cases that involved fatalities. Yes, that was his answer when I asked for a copy of the records "They have been misplaced." He also claims that 4.5 years is "too close" to the statute being up to prosecute a hit and run with a statute of 5 years. He failed to mention that the person who did it had personal ties to him.
He is a criminal in my eyes, the worst kind, he hides behind his title and commits them.

I love the show-Cold Case Files based on true stories.
They had an episode where they thought because it might have been over the statute, they wouldn't be able to prosecute him.
You see, back then, DNA wasn't available, but now they had his DNA.
Of course, this was a murder investigation, don't know if that made a difference compared to your case.

It is true, I have written to the last THREE Chief State's AttorneysÂ’, Chris Dodd, Rosa DeLauro, etc. It is unreal. In this case the CT State Police Cold Case Squad wrote me back and offered to take the case, they called Dearington's office and Dearington REFUSED to give them the file! I couldn't believe it, and honestly, neither could they. The State Police said there was an easy way around the statue, which would be to charge this person with vehicular homicide, at least get the case into court, then if need be drop it to vehicular manslaughter. Dearington refused. I just wrote a letter to the Office of Professional Responsibility in DC about Dearington's conduct. I am waiting to hear. He LET this guy go, it was 6 months before the statute ran out and he let him go. THAT is GROSS misconduct. He should be removed from office.
What it is- that until it hits close to home, no one cares!

Thanks, Zelda It does in that there is no statue on homicide, but Dearington wouldn't have prosecuted this guy anyway.

at the derby court house (I won't mention the judge's name)...she let an ANIMAL ABUSER off with a slap on the wrist....for all we know, he's out on the streets collecting more victims...torturing, killing
I wish we could impeach her.

Was that the case that was in the paper awhile back? Believe me, I don't like thieves or people who buy drugs, but they get stiffer sententences than those who kill people or abuse animals beyond belief. Like to know how some of them become judges, really.
