interesting. so what you are saying is that our "founding fathers" had wisdom?
are these the same founding fathers that thought SLAVERY was legal?
the same founding fathers that thought WOMEN were second class citizens with limited to no RIGHTS?

the founding fathers made these "rights" based upon the times that they LIVED in..........times have changed, and it is time to review this GUN issue.
NO OTHER country in the WORLD has the gun problem the united states has.....it time to re-think, reconsider another way of life.

sorry more than 10 words, but at least no one got KILLED behind them.;)

it wasn't too long ago a Guy named hitler came out with a gun control program, I suppose they didn't need guns anymore in n a z I Germany either.

So what happens in a case where the government turns on the people?

it's happening already.....forced health insurance, how big your soda should be in new york city, can't smoke a cigarette OUTSIDE!
i not saying outlaw guns, but how about adjust to todays issues.
i'm sure our founding fathers would not agree that private citizens should have assault weapons or 17 shot auto feed glocks.
why does a person need a gun that shoots 17 shots?
shouldn't the first two shots do the job?
and how about tighting up who should be allowed to have a gun?
we can BOTH go back and forth all day with good points......

Because their criminal government has guns to shoot 17 shots.
stop blaming guns.

An unalienable right is what?

If you can restrict guns to 6 shots they can restrict you to 6 words

Hey clueless, we don't have a gun problem, we have a PEOPLE problem. Get it straight. So far I haven't heard of any guns being arrested, just people. For some reason, some people are just bad. They can't control themselves, probably treated poorly when they were little, ya da ya da ya da. You know the story.
You should be thankful that some of us know the value of a gun in defending ourselves and our loved ones against these poorly treated people. So the next time one of them breaks into your home you should (in your words)"re-think, reconsider another way" of protecting yourself. You can call the police but lets face it, they won't get there in time. Then what will you do?
Yes, times have changed but so have people. Today we are faced with more violent people and you also have the drug problem which increases the level of danger. The only thing that has changed is the level of crime and violence since "our founding fathers". It has nothing to do with guns.
So I suggest you apply for a pistol permit "for the times you now live in" and wake up. The next sound you hear may be "current-times reality" breaking your window.

I'd rather have a gun and not need it, then to need it and not have it. Some of you candy-ass couch potatoes just can't see the forest through the trees, can you?

I agree with the great comments of lifeisshort. Most if not all drug dealers on the streets have guns and that goes for the drug users breaking into homes to rob to get money for drugs. I have a gun to defend myself if crooks try to break into my house. And to all, a good night.

hey buddy, going to respectfully disagree with you on one point - it's the BAD people with guns that are the problem. The honest ones, who are legally licensed and know how to use their guns, are NOT the problem. The problem is with the people who acquire guns illegally and use them for illegal purposes.

That said, how ya doin?? Been a while!

Can you define the term "unalienable right ".

That being said, you will have as much success with getting rid of guns as you have with getting rid of drugs.

If you legalize drugs you will have a drop in gun crimes.

Hey clueless, read #14. You just don't get it do you? What do we outlaw next? Knives, bats, bows and arrows, liquor, pitch forks, pit bulls, religion, foul language? Man, you ARE clueless. THINK before you speak.
So lets say they outlaw guns, then what? People will still get pissed off, they will still go crazy, some will still be on drugs, they will still get angry at someone. Whe're talking about PEOPLE here. They will still kill.
Like I said, there will always be a PEOPLE problem. Taking away an instrument to commit death will not deter them. That is not the answer.
You talk like owning a gun as being bad. Besides being my 2nd ammendment right, I talk about owning a gun as being a means of protection. I'm concerned more about protecting my family, myself and others whereas you are more concerned about taking my ability away to do so. Whose side are you on?
Like I said before, better wake up and think before you speak. I'll bet you even voted for that idiot, Obama.

no did'nt vote for obama, felt he didn't know what he was doing 3 years ago and he proved me right.
missing my point. there are plenty of guns already out there, and those who have them, fine. we need to tighten up regulations and laws to make it tougher to get one. that was my initial view in #1. why does someone need 137. when 1 will work fine.

hanging in there, working a lot, none of us are gonna be rich......how's our mutual friend doing? give her my best.
just felt laws need to be tightened up. i'm not anti-gun but don't feel some should have an armory in their home, the point of this story, 137 guns in one house? that's overboard, if the BAD people could not get a gun.....then BAD people couldn't USE a gun.

you'll all see.....one day a BAD person is gonna go into a private school in washington dc area and blow away a bunch of senator/ congressmen kids, then you'll see about OUR gun rights......that's the way CLUELESS washington works , until it affects THEIR lives, washington could care less about us common folk.
but
this make interesting discussion, and that's the point of this forum.

I got to disagree with you here... Why should a normal law biding citizen have a hard time getting a gun legally when any criminal can buy one off the streets easily??? Criminals will always be able to get guns, period...
Does it really matter if someone has 137 guns, he only can use one at a time... It's a collection, just like any sword, knife, or even an antique weapon collection. And does it really matter how many rounds the clip holds, you only need 1 round to do the job....
