I have a friend who in in trouble too. He was shocked, but didn't go down. Instead, he took the device away from the officer. He said he has no recollection of any of it, though he admits to being drunk at the time, too. People go crazy on pepper spray I've heard, too. Shocking apparently takes down most people, but not all of them. Some can apparently pull out the stingers, and grin at you.

This is so sad reading how many deaths came from this weapon of torture.I read all your posts and some are downright sickening.

My best friend who is handicapped tried to kill himself on my watch when I went to the store in Upper Darby, Pa. I returned from our neighborhood grocery directly across the street from our home to see him slice his throat and wrist...blood was gushing out everywhere...I call 911 for an ambulance...what came was 9-12 police officers.
As I held my 48 year old friend in my arms with a towel on his throat I was told by the local police" let go of him or we'll tase you too!" He was no threat to the police since he was in my arms slumping. They fired 1 taser from a foot away and it hit his shoulder, the cop then backed up and fired again..it still didn't stick again he fired and again finally knocking my friend to the ground still bleeding...still no ambulance.
The taser broke off in his chest and surgery was needed to get the tip out of his swollen chest.
My friends Doctor had changed all his meds to "new" meds causing him to have a suicidal reaction. He never ever tried to harm himself before in the 30 some years I know him. Thank God he is alive...his nervous system is all messed up. We pray each night for all those who died from this weapon of torture. We shall seek an attorneys advice now...It wasn't bad enough when the neo-nazis attacked him in Philadelphia causing brain damage, now his trust in the protectors is gone. We are afraid to go out of our home. HELP

Has anyone noticed any decline in police killings or police injuries since they started shocking people into submission?

Apparently cops are being trained everwhere to abuse their power. Pick ten small towns, look at their forums. What percentage of topics related to abuse of power will you find?
