The growth is due to families not wanting to send their children to JMCSS and cannot afford the private schools. They migrate to areas where they feel needed and wanted. How many live in Jackson zones and yet send their children to Medina schools-including SGHS?

Medina will be just like Milan and slumboldt in the not too distant future. Right now it " just feels right". But when these money hungry contractors get through with medina, it will be so overcrowded you won't be able to flush the toilet without waking the neighbors. Just watch and see

Medina is BACKWARDS. Just a teensy bit "behind" in EVERY aspect - the way they think, the way they dress, the way they look, everything. Before the mud starts slinging, I grew up there and still have lots of family there, so I KNOWWWWWWW.

Medina is a city? Give me a break. At the present time, it is definitely more than a wide spot in the road, but only just.
Not even a proper town yet.
Come back and tell me when there are 150,000 people living there.
Then it'll be a city.

It will be severely overcrowded. A rat hole of a place to be

None of the problems you mention is anything like Milan or any other town in Gibson County. You only wish your town was like others! Medina will never be like the other towns in Gibson County. The other towns have a rich heritage if established families. Medina has a large bunch if misplaced people who have no connection whatsoever.

Schools are built by the Gibson County Special School District, not by the City of Medina. You pay mega taxes for these schools to GCSSD, your Medina taxes go for maintaining city streets, the fire department, city hall, the parks and salaries for city employees.

Most of it goes in the pockets of the local "leaders." Sad, but true.

Medina has grown a ton in the last 5 years. It's not going to be its own grand city, it's just a suburb of Jackson. Same way the three way area has been for years. The talk about how bad the JMCSS schools are is dead on. It's a huge factor for the growth in northern Madison county, south Gibson county area.
