They need to do some serious training and maybe watch some college teams to pick up some tips.

You can't blame it on the coach. Those girls are just lazy and don't have any talent.

The issue with the boys and girls is the lack of basketball programs in the middle and elementary school. Other schools have developed these programs and Milan refuses to support these programs. Hopefully Coach Hill will get these programs supported and Milan Middle needs to hire a coach who will be there more than 1 year. Current 8th grade class will be the next competitive class and it will be late in their jr. year when this happens. Current 6th grade group is the best group in the school system. 7th is after that.

Hey goof ball, the middle school team won the middle school state championship last year...the issue is Milan hasnt had the "basketball" type players come through like in the past, we are a football town, that's how it is.

They have quality players, if any of you knew anything at all about our district and region you would know we play in one of the toughest in the state , its sad that you all get on here and bash our youth, it shows that your quality of life is bad, if you cant say anything good then get off your soap box and make a difference!!!

Milan has youth programs for basketball The Y has had youth basketball programs for several years. FBC Milan has had the Upward Basketball for more than a decade. I don't think the problem is lack of programs.

Milan has plenty of quality players and as previously stated, Milan plays one of the toughest districts for basketball in the state-much tougher than the football district.

Facts, yes you are correct, they won the TNT. Those boys had a competitive 5th/6th grade program and have some talent. Their issue right now is that they are Freshmen. Their issue later will be they will not have good enough players behind them to sustain a competitive program. Other schools in the Milan area have competive teams that begin playing competively in the 2nd grade. The Upward and Y programs are good programs are good programs for what they are designed for. They are far from being competitive based programs. Milan girls do play in one of the toughest districts in the state. Milan boys one of the toughest regions in the state. Even good programs will only make Milan competitive. It takes 2 division 1 players and 3-4 other college bound players on a team to get to the state tournament now. It takes years of work, does not happen over night.

The Freshman team is undefeated and has a couple of quality payers. They lack height and a few other qualities!

Milan nor any ther team play all of their Freshmen in those games. Freshmen games are a developmental program at best.

No, I believe every player played I'm the games I saw. I would predict that maybe 3 players at most will make varsity team next year.

The games I have seen, 3 of the Milan freshmen did not play, as they play significant minutes on varsity. Some of the other teams Milan have played a freshman, sometimes 2 also play varsity and do not participate in the freshmen games.

You are correct. I was not including the freshmen who play on varsity.
