Mary Reel needs to resign! People of this town need to call for her resignation!

Yes they are, and makes me ashamed, as well as concerned my children go to school here and call Milan home. I expect to hear things as such out of Jackson and Memphis schools!

Our Milan schools are on probation due to test scores, there is un-rest amongst all of the teachers, teachers acting up at all three of our school and teachers sleeping with teachers and principles. Come on people! Where is the outrage about our school system being out of control?? Mary Reel, as a parent and concerned citizen of Milan, I am calling for your resignation as well as the resignation of the two people involved in this latest occurance!!

It needs to happen! If Mayor Chris Crider cares anything about winning his re-election campaign, he will take a stand and call for her to resign! This is his chance to make a difference in Milan! Also, if the Christian church members in Milan had any moral conviction about themselves, they would call on her to resign as well! Now is the time to stand up people of Milan!! Now is the time for the Politicions of Milan to make a stand!! Don't do it for personal gain, do it cause its the right thing to do for our community and town! Call for her to resign for Milan and the children in the school system!! TAKE A STAND PEOPLE!!!!!

As much as it needs to happen, it's highly unlikely Dr. Reel will resign of her own accord. She's got a position of power, a more than descent salary (I believe she makes $90K plus per year) a seemingly endless throng of followers and a nice benefits package. It's going to take a LOT to get her ousted, but it definitely needs to happen.

How can Dr. Reel be held accountable for the actions of individuals away from work? Should I be held accountable for my co-workers or friends actions when I'm not around? I don't think so.

Now, dependent on how she handles the situation would decide on whether the community should call for her resignation.

Ok, a principle has no business being in an employee's bedroom! This not the only reason she needs to resign. Milan Special District is out of control! She is the person resonsible for being in control and she is not in controi. She needs to go and go now!!

You would think that the Christians in our churches here in Milan would take a stand where our children are concerned in this school system that is out of control. As christians, our purpose on this earth is to be salt and light. We are entrusted to raise, teach and mold our children in the way they should go. Our out control school system is teaching them that they can act however the want to act. What happened to integrity? Milan Special School District does not act with integrity!!

Please stop judging MSSD for the action of 2 people. There are many, many great people who work and pour their lives into the children. When you say the District you are speaking for everyone and that is not the way that it is. Call it for who and what it is. Not the system as a whole.

Let me explain HOW.....because noone in this town....INCLUDING the Coach ......whould have ever heard of Sonja Cathey if Mary Reel would not have brought her to town. She is one of her previous friends who Mrs.m Reel hired when there were PLENTY of qualified people allready in the system. MAYBE the problem is too many out of towners whose backgroundes, morals, SEXUAL IDENTITES, ETC. are unknown. COME on school board. GROW SOME!

You evidently have not read my previous post! The school system is out of control, plus on probation for low test scores. Mary Reel needs to resign!

True Christians know that we all sin and it is our job to forgive. We are to raise our children in the Godly way but don't forget we are also to teach them to forgive.

I've seen lots of comments on here about test scores, issues w/the faculty and the mess w/the coach and principal but has anyone else found it to be extremely inappropriate for the superintendant to be using a toy gun to shoot foam darts at the teachers?(For those that do not know, the pictures were published in the MME last week and this week of her w/ a nerf gun at a teacher's breakfast shooting foam darts at teachers.) With all of the school violence that has taken place in schools across the country, I feel that it shows poor judgement on her part. I'm all for having fun but this is absolutely absurd!
