Can someone please lead me to a good church. One that has alot to offer children. I went to one in milan and they told my daughter she had to wear a dress. She felt very bad about herself and now doesn't want to go back there. I hate it too because we really enjoyed the services there as a family. Anyway really want to find a nice church. We haven't lived here long so don't know alot about churches around here. Not looking for bashing comments just looking for a good church. Thanks.

Keep looking cause they ain't here. Have you considered Buddhism? It's almost the same what with Jesus saying I am the way and the light and Buddha being enlightened. Plus, Buddhism is a lot older if you are looking for that old time religion.
I am definitely firm in my belief in Christianity. Just looking for a good church to assemble together with other Christians.:) thank you tho

Well you know the saying! I can vouch for that! Temple does have a good time when they go to Florida. If your kids like wearing the latest fashions they will be a good fit at Temple.

He preaches right out of the bible ,sounds a little like a boy during the time his voice is changing but I know he come from a long line of preachers so he is very good.he also went to college and not only knows how to preach but how to control his flock , mainly by weeding out any opposition . Most things are good but I really don't agree with his thoughts on keeping your house in order when he owes everyone in town and won't pay his bills unless you call wage garnishment paying them . Again he a hunk that's what I like .

Since you are not from here, I will be honest with you about Temple. There is MUCH turmoil surrounding that church all the time. Yes they do have a bus ministry and pick up many children. They want to be able to count their heads. They go into neighborhoods where most of the parents are just happy for their kids to be gone somewhere for a few hours. Their pastor has been accused of having an affair with a church member. He and his wife go to Tunica often. As was previously stated his personal finances are not in order. He made a large purchase of building materials and then they laid in the church's yard and ruined rather than being used. They use only the King James version of the Bible. There was an incident last year during church league softball where their youth pastor got upset and threw a fit in the dug out yelling, shaking the fence, and throwing bats. The pastor also joined in this incident. The game was nearly stopped because of these outbursts. This church also will not participate in community events such as joint services with all the churches or the service for graduates at the high school. There are several great churches in Milan but Temple is not one of them.

MEDINA METHODIST IS A GREAT CHURCH FOR KIDS AND ADULTS. THE CHURCH AND COMMUNITY IS GROWING FAST. WE OFFER LOTS OF FELLOWSHIP TIME FOR CHILDREN AND HAVE MANY SERVICES EACH YEAR THAT FOCUS ON THE CHILDREN AND ALLOW THEM TO FILL ROLES DURING THE SERVICE TO EXPAND THEIR UNDERSTANDING OF GOD AND HOW TO BE A VOICE FOR GODS WORD. THE YOUTH AND CHILDRENS PROGRAMS OFFER MANY DIFFERENT OPPORTUNITIES FOR CHILDREN TO BE INVOLVED IN THE CHURCH AND THE COMMUNITY. IT IS IMPORTANT TO TEACH OUR CHLDREN THAT THE CHURCH EXPANDS OUTSIDE OF OUR WALLS AND INTO THE COMMUNITY AND FURTHER. THE CHURCH ALSO OFFERS MANY BIBLE STUDIES AND FELLOWSHIP OPPORTUNITIES FOR ADULTS OF ALL AGE GROUPS DEPENDING ON WHERE YOU ARE IN LIFE AND ON YOUR SPIRITUAL JOURNEY. WE ALWAYS ENJOY SEEING NEW FACES AND LOOK FORWARD TO GREETING EVERYONE THAT WISHES TO HEAR GODS WORD. GOD BLESS

I just passed the youth pastor from Temple driving in town with a couple of kids in the back of his truck. It's illegal and dangerous! No way I would trust him with my kids!

As the preacher says those without sin cast the first stone we all do wrong. He has admitted to going to Tunica and to not being the husband he should be he's not perfect but like God is to us we are to our pastor we forgive him for whatever he does. He is our leader always will be that's his promise . So what if he owes everyone the church doesn't pay him half what he deserves hunks like him get big bucks in Hollywood and I bet he can out act any of them . All this applies to the youth director to so Bob eat your cracker spray your water and shut up that's in love our preacher says we can openly rebuke folks like y'all on here

I know you said you'd like one in Milan, but I would like to invite you to our church, First Assembly of God in Humboldt. Our youth is growing, both in number and spiritually. They have a drama group that is amazing! We offer Missionettes and Royal Rangers for the little ones. If you're not aware, those are like Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts that's based on Biblical teachings. Our pastor, Mark Hodge, is an awesome man of God that lives what he preaches. Our worship service is uplifting and full of teaching. Your daughter doesn't have to wear a dress unless she wants. If you make the short trip, I believe you'd like it. We have youth that go to different area schools, Milan, Humboldt, Medina, Crockett Co and Trenton. We had a couple that came from Chester Co, but they just recently moved to Humboldt.
Anyway, our service times are:
Sunday School 9:45
Sunday morning 10:45
Sunday night 6:00
Wednesday night 7:00
We are located on the corner of Carriage Ln and 22nd Ave, beside King Tire and across from Pizza Hut.
We'd love to have you visit!

We incorporate all kinds of music in our services. Most of the time, we sing the new contemporary worship music while mixing in the old hymns.
I sing in a Southern Gospel Trio. Also, I love all styles of music...especially when done for the Lord.
He created rap music just like He created all the other genres. It's the devil (world) that perverted it all. If rap, rock, country, bluegrass, reggae, or whatever style is done to reach the lost, edify the church, or uplift Him, then it's 'GOOD'. If you don't buy that He is the genuine Creator, then check out this scripture. Then if you still don't believe, you have to bring it up with Jesus. The last line should sell it for ya!

"For by Him all things were created that are in heaven and that are on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or principalities or powers. All things were created through Him and for Him." (Colossians 1:16 NKJV)

Also, I've visited Temple. My sister used to attend there. I have several friends that go there. It's a nice place to worship...that I know of. Also, I know about y'all expanding out to South 17th in Humboldt. I wish y'all the best. But instead of tearing us down or trying to take our members, how about some unity?? Working together on saving Humboldt and the other areas is a much better solution. Don't you think??

They have no desire to bring unity! They won't do anything with any of the churches in Milan so you should know they won't in Humboldt either. They want numbers and they don't care where they come from. It truly scary how blindly those people follow their pastor.

Hey Greg how about serving some wine, whiskey and smoke some pot God made those to. What ever happened to separate yourselves from the world and go out into the hedges and byways . If you have to stoop to the world instead of the word to draw them in then your turning Gods holy place into a place of the world . We don't stoop to that level thanks to our leader who may I say is lead by God and we have over 600 attend our lords house. And " Not Temple" we do follow maybe worship our leader he is of God making him a part of God and beautiful (hunk) like God and it is about numbers is what he preaches those numbers are going to hell . Get ready here we come!!!!!!
