What happened to Mellie's Chicken Shack? It's only been one year and I thought their food was delicious. So what's up? Nice people, good fresh food, what's not to like? The Malt Shop was in there before Mellie's and they didn't even make 1 year! Talk about a dying town, Mifflinburg is it! Now there's some little place that's supposed to open on Chestnut St. called "Mr. Bee's". How can they not see what's coming? Just like "Off-Center Tools". And what happened to the skateboard shop on Chestnut St.--gone! Bike shop--gone! Some little store next to Cooney's shop called "Thirds" is probably not going to even make 1 year. And what about "Pish Posh" and the ice cream shop on 4th and Chestnut? Wait, Mayor Cooney's store is doing well, interesting! And it's always so clean and tidy! I've seen his private scrub woman maintaining his storefront like it was her own, how nice! Take a lesson, if you aren't in with the Cooney clique in one way or another, you won't get much business. Don't waste your hard-earned money paying rent for a doomed venture.

Mellie's Chicken Shack moved to a larger facility on the strip in Selinsgrove where The Golden Corral was. They have a larger building, plenty or parking, and better access.

It's a shame. There just seems to be a dismal lack of support for business in Mifflinburg. That is, unless it's a business that deals in necessities like groceries, gas, car and home repair and booze. Anything creative, fun, educational, or cultural is snubbed. I guess Mifflinburg is doomed to shrink away in its self-imposed provincialism.

Mellie is so sweet. I thought they went out of business. Glad to know that they are still around.

Clean out the scumbags and drugs and maybe some businesses will last for a change. Happened where I used to live-drugs came, blacks came, business went empty fast and that was it. This place is dying for sure.

As for the building that housed the video store and chicken place, it's creepy anyway. Needs a facelift and parking first. Same with Buffalo Valley plaza-fugliest buildings I ever saw.

Ah, spoken like the true Heinrich Himmler! But Mr. Himmler sir, how do you propose to "clean out" the "scumbags and blacks" from Mifflinburg? It would seem there are fewer people of color there than you can count on one hand anyway!

What has become of Big Earl's Bike Shop in Mifflinburg? I heard the empty store is to become Michele's Taser Shop. Is this so?

It's right along Route 15 adjacent to Peking Gardens.

If enough business who garnered enough affection of Mifflinburg residents move to Lewisburg, which will mean Mifflinburg residents will shop in Lewisburg, which means less money in Mifflinburg, maybe Mifflinburg will wake the...who am I kidding, the borough's run by idiots and losers!

I'm SO excited about the soap store that's now in the old Mike and Dot's building! I didn't think anyone else felt about soap the way I do--the colors, and scents and shapes--oh I could just go on and on! Well anyway, I can't wait to browse for soap there!

I'm happy that Pompeii Soap went in there too but she really could have just put a big sign on the front in the color green like she had down at the other place instead of painting the whole building that color of green. It's a little overwhelming.
