Ignorant statement? No its quite true, do some research. Its what I like to call "crowd" control. People get on here and say.."Oh you judge by the color of skin blah blah blah"...do you all think thats true? Do you honestly think we have a problem with the color brown? My desk is brown...so is my car. I have no problem with it. I do however have a problem with people(that are very commonly brown)sitting on their dead ass, making babies, sitting on their dead ass, making more babies...drawing their welfare check, going to spend it on things I cant even afford, driving vehicles that cost more than my house, commiting the majority of the crimes, because they grew up PO,. Yes there are whites that do this to, I am aware of that. Im sorry, NO, not near as many whites as browns...stop kidding yourself...you know better. Back to the subject. Who gives a $hit about the superintendent? Most prominent white people around here send their kids to private schools anyways. I do. The blacks will never have a school system of their own. They mooch off us, and quite frankly I dont think they have the brains to construct something of that nature. It would turn out into a gun fight or something like that. Plus we give them FREE lunches at school. This is just reality. Ive watched it for over 40 years. Anyone who says different does not live here, or just isnt a realist. You are not racist, yeah right!!! I'm assuming that was a joke. First , I know most of white people believe that blacks are on welfare, lazy ,use white people and the system to mooch off of and this is true in some cases, but take this with you before you leave there are many, many , many blacks with money and education I am one of them with my own money, job, house and a degree. Bottom line:

Mr. Duke was the most experienced and most qualified of the final 4 or 5 candidates, but because he is white and the others are black, The Real Racist Views comes out with their racist vile editorial against a truly honorable man. You ignorant folks who believe this was a white thing better do the research yourself because you will never get an impartial view from the editor and his co editor.

For once, we now have a superintendent who has class room experience, athletic department experience, and administrative experience, and superintendent experience; a man who has direct daily one on one experience with students, teachers, parents, administrators, and school boards. Now how much more qualified can you get?

Now maybe the Natchitoches Parish school system will come up in the academic world. We should all be proud of our new superintendent and his experience.

Looks to me like the school board judged this man on his experience and the content of his character and not the color of his skin. Too bad the Real Racist Views doesn't subscribe to the teachings of the great Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. except when its convenient for them to play the race card.

He FAILED MISERABLY in the Q&A forum and has no technology background and wouldn't you agree that this would be somewhat of a problem in directing the educational needs of students in 2009?

He has many skills that are needed, yet lacks also. I could care less about the race of a candidate so long as everyone played by the same rules, which were not the case in this scenario.
I sincerely believe that we need an outsider, a business-modeled individual who follows a process and not the "clique", white or black. However, we have Mr Duke, and it's time to let it go and as I said with regards to our President, let's give him a shot and stay open-minded and let results be the judge.

He may turn out to be the best person for the job, but I feel he is not prepared (or anyone for that matter) to deal with the underlings he is stuck with. A clean slate and an entire board is really what is needed in this town.

We need someone to clean up the schools. Color is not an issue. We have so many children attending school pregnant. If they are not allowed to attend regular school, then they will think twice before bringing a child into this world. Uneducated people having uneducated children is a down fall for society. Soical Security is running out because people who have never held a job is recieving it. I have been a tax payer since 15 and will never see my work, due to people who do not work.
