Midlo likes to send the cops out giving tickets to overtaxed residents in the middle of the night.

When I first moved to Arizona, I inquired about a city vehicle sticker and they looked at me like I was crazy.

They said you are in a Republican State we are not going to tax you to death.

And by the way ,why don't you pick yourself out a new handgun, if a criminal trys to hurt you or your family you have the right to defend and protect yourself, again this is a Republican State.

I did not know Markham, Illinois was an International Travel Destination.

You are right.

Arizona sucks for your kind, you will find yourself locked up or on the receiving end of a well placed round.

Some people act as if a village sticker is something new. I have been driving for well over 30 years, I have lived around this country and have always had to buy a sticker. Most towns and villages do not give a grace period to have it displayed and yet Midlo gives you a month. So what seems to be the problem? You want to own a car, get insurance, pay for your plate and buy your sticker. Seems simple enough to me.

They have the legal right to go on your property and ticket you. It only costs me $70.00 for 2 vehicles. They give more than enought time for someone to comply.

If I don't smoke can I still protest cigarette tax?
Or if I only eat healthy food can I l protest the taxes on fast food, pop and candy.

I buy my village sticker ok.
I am not arguing about the sticker
I am just saying it is shitty to send the squads to check every car in town in the middle of the night.
You want to give them a ticket after you pull someone over....fine..that's one thing.

But to go sneaking around when fhe town is asleep is bullshit in my eyes.

To answer you Yes. You can protest whatever you want. I served in the military to defend that right. However you do have to follow the rules and laws. If you feel a rule or law is unjust, then try to change it the right way. We as residents of Midlothian have had ample warning and we know what will happen if you do not comply to the law. Again, this is a part of owning a car, if you do not want to pay the sticker do not own a car.

I don't believe they go on your property specifically looking but the can if need be. Also it's not like at shift change they are told to "target" areas so to speak but who knows? The number on the back of the sticker is so an Officer can just shine thier spotlight on the sticker and see if it's current. C'mon really,$30.00 for a car and $40.00 for a truck isn't that bad compared to some towns. If you park on the street and don't have one then you deserve a ticket. If I'm not mistaken, notices go out at the end of April? So, about 8 weeks to save for a sticker is more than enough notice. Hell, that's one breakfast at Bartolini's.

You are being a politician here. Your military talk and rights and changing laws the right way is off topic.
The second part of your post is a repeat of your first post.

So I will try once more to get through to you.

Stealing is wrong.
In some countries they will chop off your hand for stealing.

Could it be that not buying a village sticker is wrong AND driving up and down streets ticketing residents in the middle if the night is also wrong?

The thing is people who don't buy them probably are having a hard time making ends meet , well some anyway. Then to be hit with a ticket is just sad times are sooo hard .I don't know what the solution is maybe a warning first , these hard times call for some lienience in my humble opinion.

Fact 1, they do? In the middle of the night? Not being sarcastic, just never thought of that. As far as Fact 2, never thought of that one either. Thanks for setting it straight. Sounds logical though. I just didn't think that they would go on the property without just cause such as a call.If they do that, then do they have the right to ticket for expired plates then also?

They write you for everything they can once they get that pen going. They also walk the train station looking for additional in town revenue as well.

Fact #1- They do 24/7.
Fact #2- Plates can be seen from the street, so just cause is seeing an expired plate, etc.
Fact #3- Follow Illinois law and local ordinances like 99% of people do and you won't have anything to complain about.
Fact #4- The police just enforce the laws, they don't make them.
