And again ...there's no way you can spin out of the FACT that "shrinking the size of BIG GOVERNMENT" (hint: GOVERNMENT that's too BIG) necessitates the removal of government workers from the government's workforce.
Please modify your statement to reflect the truth of your fact, which is that there are many means and measures that can be taken to shrink the size of Big Government without the need to eliminate job positions.

There are many expenditures that are frivolous and fluffy at best and of course, with the joke of the old Tartan Tidings comes to mind. In fact, I can't recollect one issue in which they actually secured even one advertisement, but their self-promotional boxes sure took up space. Perhaps it had something to do with lack of reference materials and instead stuffed and fluffed with opinions rather than content that included line item citations of ordinances, building codes and other features and facets designed to address concerns about the Village...including but not limited to concerns posted here on this forum.

Now you can continue to bash and smash people with the idea your educational experiences are impeccable, but so far my statistical analysis of all of your content to date (your keyword density report was quite a fascinating read) shows that even with your impressive education, you are probably one of the most unhappy people posting to this forum and that it seems this perhaps is your only outlet is to textually reduce screen names to a measure of reputation you think is somehow worthy of public agreement.

In fact, what have you done to attract new businesses to town when you're not on this forum? Have you actually spoken even one kind word about those who perhaps might meet your pedigree standards? Are you the one reaching across geographically boundaries and explaining to investment firms and development companies why taking a gamble on the Village of Midlothian is actually far less of a risk than it has been for well over a decade?

Are you the one telling Shoemaker to clean up his previously illegal signage? Are you the one calling out to Father Watson with hopes of re-purposing of the property? Are you the one calling on Rep. Davis and Rep. Rita each and every time the Village is in search of grant money? Are you the one sitting there performing the data mining necessary to pull together even one grant for this Village? Are you the person collecting historical evidence and building the archives of the local Historical Society?

Perhaps you are the one who is pushing the Chamber of Commerce to get off its lazy behind and actually publish a book of local businesses and get it in the mail (5,000 households not a tough number)? Perhaps you are the one helping with the research and development of a plan to address flooding issues in Midlothian? There was a call for conversation with MWRD and the Forest Preserves about a retention pond? Perhaps you have been saving your finest oratory for such an occasion? Or maybe you're saving up your smarts for some sort of secret event in which your particular brand of brilliance somehow rescues the real people facing even bigger problems than an uneducated snob such as yourself? Perhaps Malekey has something in the works next to the empty ADS storefront and you're in on it?

Government is too "big" because fools such as you continue to smash hard-working individuals with lesser formal education to where they can put in a 40 hour week taking care of jerks like you only to wonder if you're going to also call them out for being on food stamps to make ends meet, let alone correcting their grammar.

Village Hall is not so busy all of the time to where they are logistically incapable of caring for all those who walk through the door in a prompt manner. But if they are anything like you, can you blame them? Maybe they should get hazard pay?

I have never had a problem at the Village Hall. The women have always treated me with courtesy and professionally.
I wonder if the people that seem to have a problem treat the employees with respect. There doesn't seem to be much respect for others in this thread.
I have nothing but problems when I go in there. They play a waiting game. They all wait to see who will blink first and that person has to answer the window. When they do finally come to the window they are not nice at all!

Your question regarding if anyone is contacting officials for grants - data mining info for the what should already be available at village hall - these are public records that should have been maintained
If we do what you suggest then there would be no reason to employee anyone at village hall

Here are three things that will get you faster service - 1) if the mayor is in ask him or her for to take care of you ( Terry really hated that)- 2) yell hello thru the window - 3) the one I like best call them on your cell phone and ask if they are open
You'll be treated badly but at least you get every thing done and you out of there

(something so moronic it only deserves ridicule, not repeating)
Nope ...

NOTHING in your "keyword density" there refutes the FACT that "shrinking the size of BIG GOVERNMENT" (hint: GOVERNMENT that's too BIG) necessitates the removal of government workers from the government's workforce - which midloguy30 was in favor of.

Try to keep up with the idiot's moronic arguments before injecting yourself into the debate and (maybe ... it is YOU we're talking about here) you won't end up looking like one yourself next time.

I also suggest playing football with a helmet from now on.

I'm not sure if your obvious brain damage is reversible, but it just might prevent it from getting any worse.
