DIN be careful as most sites are at minimum one school year out of date if not two.
The Suntimes lists 2009-2010 rates.
You can also see a state-wide summary from 2010 from the ISBE site.
All districts are required to post administrative salaries on their websites so you don't even have to FOIA it.
For example, here is Bremens for the 2011-2012 year, the most current.
They also have their contract online as required.
Check out appendix B which lists their salary structure through 2013 for incoming and existing faculty.

@ 5 yr, thank you for the links. The health insurance is another 17-25k per year. Not to mention the pension costs we may be paying for via our already inflated property taxes.
How about the annual paid vacations.

These educators make a good living. I hope they are worth the money.

It is time for the teachers to start taking cuts.
As far as the pensions, that is the teachers problems. There is no way this deficit can be made up. If the state cannot come up with the cash, there is no way local businesses and homeowners can. The entire state will look like Detroit.
