Interesting that neighbors can go for 3 1/2 years without a village sticker and we get a ticket right next door for not having it "STUCK" all the way on the window. When brought to the attention of the police (not wanting to tattle) but I have live here 25 years and I pay every year not for just 1 but for 5 and others are getting away with it year after year after year..... Ugghhh it makes me mad!!!!!

Extremely annoying. I bet they just did the whole "Well we ticket who we catch" routine too.

145 & Kedvale. I called about 2 years ago and 1 out of at least 4 cars at the time got a ticket. I called the PD and was told when they came by that was the only car on the street, so I guess they only check once? On occasion I do see an officer patrol down our block and I do appreciate that. When the officer goes by tho he drives past a couple cars w/o or expired stickers. |

maybe the midlothian pd can check with the il dmv and find out how many plates are registered in midlothian and cross reference that info with how many car owners bought stickers if we have 3000 plates and only sold 2000 stickers it should be easy to find out which car owners do not have stickers make a list find them and ticket them the village has a office staff that can help the police dept. do this the more tickets the more money in the bank its a good way to stop layoffs.

South Side Johnny, I don't know how feasible that is (currently), but what might be good is when they're sitting there with no calls and maybe close to the end of the month (where quotas come into play), maybe they could be more avid in their search. It's kind of like an office worker that finishes their pressing work then uses spare time to file or do clean up work.
I don't see why they couldn't make a point of doing it like that. Or even designating a certain team for it since they know right when they expire. Maybe they only need to have someone dedicated to it for a month or two after the deadline. Maybe. |
