International radio host, author and Bible teacher, Don Harris, will lead “The Parable Paradox” Bible conference on Tuesday; Feb. 19, in Midland.
There is a meet-the-author and book signing fellowship at 6 p.m. The conference will begin at 7 p.m. at the Midland Hotel and Wall Street Conference Center at 3100 W. Wall St. Mr. Harris will also be at the Hastings Book Store, 3111 W. Cuthbert Ave, Midland, on Sun; Feb. 17, from 11 a.m. until 4 p.m. Harris’ radio broadcast,“The Questions of Jesus,” is heard around the world on short wave radio and internet. He has written several publications and two books. His first book,“The Questions of Jesus,” is the source of this inspirational broadcast featuring over 150 questions asked by Jesus. Harris can also be heard weekly on Blog Talk Radio via the internet. The Red Letter Edition- Live! is a live call-in show on every Saturday afternoon. All shows are archived and are always available. Mr. Harris will be featured on the “Light of the Southwest” television program aired on our local God’s Learning Channel on Thurs; Feb. 21, from 8 p.m. to 10 p.m. Harris will be available to sign copies of his new book, The Red Letter Questions, which was featured at the 2007 International Christian Bookseller’s Convention. This book brings to the forefront a particular red-letter question asked by Jesus, "If you do not understand this parable, how will you understand any parable?" in a Biblical guidance conference, The Parable Paradox: Discovering the KEY to all the parables of Jesus “Everybody loves a good mystery, but when we find that facts are missing from critical information, it can become frustrating and even dangerous – especially when the information contains instructions we are expected to obey,” said a spokesman with Harris. He explained that Jesus taught by parables. “But His first one warned if we do not understand this parable we would not understand any of them,” he said.“How can we comply with the needed instructions? This is the paradox of the parable.” “Jesus requires that we know so that we can know,” he added.“Like a key to the safe that is locked inside the safe, or a book instructing Latin written in Latin, this parable is a paradox.” Think Red Ink Ministries would like to invite all residents of the Midland/Odessa area to join them on Tues; Feb. 19, at 7 p.m. for this free Biblical conference.
