As a long time resident of Ridgewood I wonder if anyone has looked beyond the parking lot to the "woods" behind the school. The woods used to be part of the same landfill in the 50's and 60's. If the high level of chemicals were found in this one portion of the former landfill on district property who is going to take responsibility and ensure that the land in the "woods" is safe. Additionally, the Saddle River boarders this former landfill. The township needs to step and provide assistance to the district.
