A predictable aspect of cult behavior is to actively go to the `outside` and deliberately seek out persecution, to reinforce the `them and us` perception of the world.
To increase the negative world view and so lessen the feeling of cognitive dissonance created by the totalist ideology. I`ll expect that any jw`s ever feeling `weak-faithed` would be attracted to door-knocking, as this is an ideal source of persecution, and it has the advantage of recruiting prospects as well. The very worrying thing is that persecution can be harvested easily, it`s in abundant supply.
Cult awareness and education seems to be the way forward.
