Middleville Mayor: "we're an easy target" as postal service looks to cut
MIDDLEVILLE, N.Y. - Since July, Middleville residents have been without a post office, forced to travel a six mile round trip to Newport to get their mail.

wow, middleville without a post office? Lets see, the us post office had a contract with middleville for services there, liz scrader refused to renew the contract with them, basing it on the fact that corey hall was to be condemned. the actual fact is that it shared a septic system with the house next door, yes there was flooding and some damage, sure, but liz didn;t want to cleanup the drain that allowed the water to be sent to WestCanada, instead debris from the flooding blocked the grate and thus the flooding occurr two simple problems, could have been fixed in no time and the damage would NOT have occurred. Now corey hall is open for court And the library is open, gee, how do you condemn a third of a building. I know for a fact that the postal service tried very hard to reopen the services in middleville and due to the close mindedness of politics. Middleville is going to float down the west canada soon enough...
