Today I traveled to pick up a friend returning from the winter land of OZ.. Florida. Thinking on Big Sis and the Prez warnings of long lines and delays at airports I was prepared for the worst. And it was NOTHING! In fact as Ususal The Albany Airport Security Gauntlet was moving rather briskly. It is a good thing too as most,, make that all the TSAers were either Fat,Old,or preggers. I imagine that they moved quickly so as not to be off thier texting and Dunkin Donuts coffee drinking. Sequester is just another word for Boogie Man! Like Seinfeld, its all about nothing.

It's all about nothing. Kinda like Obama's impact as President.

If you would actually bother to inform yourself, you would know that federal employees require 30 days' notice before they can be furloughed. The earliest we will see any impact is the beginning of April.

God, WCR, you crack me up. You have the consistency of diarrhea, not to mention the intelligence. All you do on here is go on and on and on about Obama this, Obama that, and now you say he has had no impact as President? Are you the same person as this West Coast Rapper?
West Coast Rapper wrote:
Unfortunately, through its repeated lawlessness and anti-republicanism, the Obama Administration has willfully desecrated the Constitutional balance established by our Forefathers. This defiance of the Rule of Law has withered the system of checks and balances and established a despotic Executive branch. The "imperial" presidency with its "czars" and unaccountable bureaucracy is so powerful that neither Congress nor the Judiciary seems able to stop our inevitable slide into Socialism, or even a full dictatorship. Today, the Left wing and Executive branch completely dwarf the other departments that were intended to hold presidential power balanced and in check.

Because that West Coast Rapper seems to think Obama has had a rather large impact as President.

Post of the year...YOU actually calling someone else not smart then dithering on about informing yourself!! You are one of the least interesting and intelligent posters on Topix, you never take a stance nor profer one original thought...you just blindly defend any democrat and LOVE radical progressivism then have the balls to criticize anyone who do not agree with you. You do win this though "man who changes his name for every thread but maintains the same name throughout the thread," (since you crave winning and always being right) you win the coveted Gold Medal Topix Troll Award!

This is actually going to be pretty funny. You ready? Read:

4. What procedural rights would apply for an administrative furlough of 30 calendar days or less for employees covered under 5 CFR part 752?

A. For a short furlough of a covered employee, the law (5 U.S.C. 7513) gives a covered employee the following rights:

- At least 30 calendar days advance written notice by the agency stating the specific reasons for the proposed action

http://www.opm.gov/policy-data-oversight/pay-...

That's from the United States Office of Personnel Management. As I said above, unless you're a clueless, uninformed moron, you would know that federal employees require 30 days' notice before they can be furloughed, meaning the earliest you would see the impact of sequestration would be in early April. Thank you for confirming that you are a clueless, uninformed moron.

You just can't help yourself can you? Are you that crushed that the sequestration did not turn out the way the sky-is-falling Dems warned? Do you really think that cutting less than 2% from the budget will bother anyone whatsoever? Do you really want to continue to give more and more of your money to the government?

I marked your last post "clueless" because you epitomize that state of mind.

No, you marked clueless for this post because you have no response to post #6, which proved you 100% dead wrong. Which does not surprise me.

I never disputed that the feds need to serve up 30 days notice before a furlough so how can I be 100% "dead wrong?"

You never disputed my post #5 that you are one of the least interesting posters on topix so I guess by your logic I am 100% right about that.

So when I said federal employees are entitled to 30 days' notice before being furloughed and you replied with this, you were saying that you agreed?

As for this bit of silliness, you can't factually dispute an opinion, you moron. Although I would argue that all the thought you've apparently given to me and my posts would contradict your claim that I'm not interesting.

I can see why you would say that, allow me to clarify my opinion.

You "personally" are probably a very interesting study in radical progressive elitism however I still consider your "posts" to be some of the least interesting (and I'll add least original) on Topix. You have a knack for quick research but you don't offer up any original ideas or posts - you just get your jollies trying to prove everyone else wrong. I'm not calling you a coward but you have taken a cowardly path.

Cliches and platitudes aside, you're saying that using objective facts to prove or disprove statements is "taking a cowardly path"? The idiot who started this thread said that sequester was no big deal because they went to Albany airport and the TSA checkpoints were running just fine. Well, duh, no crap. Federal employees require 30 days' notice before they can be furloughed, meaning the earliest we will see any effect at TSA checkpoints is April. I point that out, you call me an idiot, I prove it without any shadow of a doubt, you call me a moron again, and now I'm a coward. All for being RIGHT?

Yes, perhaps I should just stick to unfounded opinion and anecdotal nonsense like everyone else on here.

I'll give you the fact that the OP did not chose the best example to point out that the sequester (less than 2% cut)is really no big deal. This might be a better example - the Federal Government (in the midst of this horrific sequestration) has posted 1,077 new jobs since Monday.

So in other words, I was RIGHT - but you tell me I'm a coward and that I am "always wrong".

Gotcha.
