This is a great way for them to make decisions.

The " Conference of Mayors" Reported to Katie Nichols that they have decided the public is no longer capable of voting to elect a D.A. so they will flip a coin on Election day to determine the winner. Sylvia Rowan agreed with this method as well. Seeing as the Republican Party website clearly has no Republicans endorsed this election cycle.

The Herkimer County GOP is in total disarray. The good old boys have abandoned all pretense of advancing conservative ideals, and now they just fight over who gets the biggest piece of the shrinking pie. The good old girl (what few there were) are all jumping ship. Nowadays, all the Herkimer County GOP stands for is greed, nepotism and crude sexism.

We did this to ourselves.

Then come over to the bright side. They cast a big umbrella and welcome all.

On a national level, the Democratic party was more fiscally conservative than the GOP in the two decades prior to the fiscal crisis. Now? Not so much ... both parties are out of control, and beholden to ideologies more than common sense and good governance.

Locally, the Democratic party is a clown show.

Yes, Obama is likely to win, that is undeniable. But the COngress is where the real problem lies right now. if we have four more years of gridlock, we are doomed, fiscally. Our federal debt cliff is neither a Democratic nor a Republican problem: it is an American problem. As Americans, we have to unite after the election and INSIST that the Congress stop playing partisan, election year games in between elections, and actually govern our nation and fix our debt crisis.

We don't need Congress. The "Conference of Mayors" is all we need refer to for guidance. The Conference of Mayors" is all knowing and will save this country and ultimately the village of Herkimer.Long live Mark Ainesworth (Mayor McChitferbrains)
