Stop sniffling and get over it! I am sorry you don't feel like anyone thanks older veterans for their dedication to our military...but there are MANY of us who DO thank our veterans. There's no reason for anyone on here to act like a jerk about Josh and Heather getting a nice home built for them! I get the feeling there's some jealousy issues going on from the people whom are making snide comments, just my thoughts on that!

Thank you Josh! This house is the least people could do for you! You deserve it so much! I hope you and your future bride have many years together in your new home. God bless you!!

You Sir are a disgrace and I am appalled that you as a veteran if in fact you really are, would see this act of kindness and public gratitude for the sacrifice that Josh and his family made for your freedom. It is despicible and you should feel ashamed of your self. As a fellow veteran, I for one am very pleased to see that the American people are happy and proud to offer this man a better way of life and were able to give him a home to be proud of as we are proud of him for what he unselfishly gave up for us. You Sir, are a disgrace to other veterans if you can only see this as a hand out; And if in fact you do wish your children enter into the armed forces, I hope that they do it for love of country and freedom, not for petty materialistic values that you think you deserve. You disgust me

Fred and Handouts, NO words you say can take away what was so deserving, it was a Gift to a Man who gave so much and also for a young Lady who has stood by Josh's side.
Fred a sharp tongue shows you have a dull mind.
Handouts, Vet to Vet, you should be ashamed of yourself.

It is wonderful that Josh was provided this home through the generosity of the community. Well done!

He was wounded protecting the freedom of the Iraqi people. We already have freedom.

If you check into this organization that did this, I'm sure you will find that it has nothing to do with the government. I would suggest that you do two things. First, write your congressmen and urge them to take care of the veterans as they should. That would also help Josh, as I'm sure they are facing some of the same problems as the older veterans. Second,if you are an older veteran, join one or more of the veterans organizations who are busy fighting for the benefits that the veterans were promised and many times did not receive. If you're not a veteran, support your veterans organizations by giving money and time and possibly joining their auxiiary organizations.

It's sinful that they're livin together before marriage.
I find it sad that you feel it necessary to make this comment. I'm sure that once he was wounded, many things became much more pressing than marriage, causing them to put their wedding plans on the back burner. Maybe now they can go ahead and make their plans. Incidentally, just because two people are living in the same home does not mean that they are necessarily sinning. I have to give credit to her for standing by her man when many women would have run as soon as they could.

Everyone involved in this process should be proud of the work, time and money they put into it. My only desire is that other wounded veterans received the same kind of treatment and out pouring of community when they return home.

I think it is VERY disrespectful to write mean messages on such a wonderful act of kindness!!! My fiance' Alan helped build that house...and I think it is a beautiful and awesome act of kindness and generosity!!! So shame on the people who have used this as an opportunity to say cruel things!!!!

Best wishes to Josh and Heather.

Their stone fireplace is beautiful.

Good all the people --who put in their time to help this couple. The smile on Josh's face was priceless.

Heather is taking care of him - besides his injury is similar to Christopher Reeves injury, and I doubt they are intimate simply due to his injury.

Please refer to the verse in the bible that clearly states this. And while you are at it, please also list all the many verses that clearly state how sinful it is to judge/ pass judgement on others. Hmmm, seems there is a parable about writing in the sand that comes to mind, also. Perhaps you should look that one up, too.

Whos the 'sinner' now?

I hope your kids do go in the military, because obviously you arent teaching them about honor, courage, respect, and service at home. You must have missed the day they taught those qualities while you 'served'. Hopefully they will turn out to a quality, caring person, unlike their parent, who instead of just being happy for someone, instead criticizes.

Its a sad day when someone has something nice, something awesome happen for them, and all that is said is 'Well, what about everyone else? No fair!'

Just be happy for Josh and Heather. They did not ask for this, they did not ask for their situation.... but a lot of people stepped up and pulled together to do a wonderful thing for them. It is NO skin off your back, there was NO money taken from your wallet. So why criticize?

Yup, we older vets got no thanks till this generation returned "victorious" to help abate "our loss". Then all of a sudden WE were vets too. Fred, you have Josh & folks like him to thank for you having the right & freedom to say just whatever the hell you want. hink about THAT for a while.
Josh, thanks to you & your family for your service & sacrafice.
