Going apple and pumpkin picking at Battleview today. Kids will carve anything but the typical jack o lanterns later. The patterns you can buy are awesome. House will be filled with toasted pumpkin seeds, apple pie and baked apples tonight. What a day!

R & J Farms in Egg Harbor Twp is a great place to spend the day, too. Hayrides, a corn maze, pumpkin field, good food, cider. We are staying local today, lots to do here.

Hear that traffic around exit 81 is clearing after a bad accident. Makes me want to stick around and avoid the nuts on the GSP at least one day a week.

Don't forget to pick up some hay for Peppy.

You know, your Unicorn.

You must have a Unicorn named Peppy to complete the scene.

Thankfully, what I DON"T have in my life is a miserable old, depressed, demented, drag of an old goat like you! Have the rotten day you deserve! I'll be out singing in the sunshine whether you think it is foolish or not! My daughter may very well wear her adorable pink unicorn shirt if she chooses. It's called free to be happy! Something you have no evidence of doing since I first met you on here. One depressed argument after another with you. You go put that black satan shirt over your pumpkin shaped head and sit in the root cellar! Or whine in your next post how I am so mean to you!! haha

LOL!! Ah, so good, so good! You will make my day out in the sunshine with happy kids all the better when I know that I am not sitting and devising how to cause misery for others in front of my computer!! Thanks for the invitation! Remenber, you often get what you ask for and that might very well be a slap back for your sourpuss taunting! To everyone else out there, have an awesome! Life is too short to spend it engaging a drag!

Just to be clear: The "There you go again" was directed towards 7ven being a jerk to a poster.

Those Unicorn shirts are cute.

My second child from my first marriage wore one all the time when she was younger.

Did that last weekend with my Godson Vandy. There are so many different options now when it comes to carving, including using tools like Dremels to add contrast and shading to the rinds that show up really well when the lantern is lit from within.

Right, OTJ. Carving has become quite an art for the kids and adults, too. Have you seen the food network competitions? prizes of $50,000 to carve a pumpkin!! And the detail and realism, then light is added for amazing results. It's unbelievable that the medium is a pumpkin!

Hi JDN! You are sounding well in your post! The happy occasion coming must have something to do with that!! I've been to gasko's- it's a great place for deals. I'm sure your outdoor festivities will turn out great with all that natural beauty and you working on the preparations! Have a great time, and congrats on the upcoming wedding!

This was a very nice thread until it was soiled, but alas, it made a nice comeback!

And it is perfect example of the types of "diversity" that need to come together to make a forum healthy.Ya just can't have zealots shouting "local topics only" just because they want it that way unless there is a rule that supports such a limitation. And both here and on NJO no such limitation exists! And its great having two forums, with posters not being able to control either one of em.

And BTW, Gaskos is in Monroe NJ on Federal Rd. Their location is a tough one for my GPS! And that's hilbilly country out there! INS would have a field day there....LOL!

Okay, I admit it.

I made the joke about the unicorn because I just enjoy the hell out of watching vandy change from someone who acts like he is so sweet that sugar wouldn't melt in his mouth into a raging fire breathing pit bull at the drop of a hat.

My bad, I know.

But at least it gives me a tiny bit of satisfaction down here in my root cellar with my black satan shirt over my pumpkin shaped head.

If pushing vandy's button with a joke just to sit back and watch him say something like that makes me a bad guy I stand before you guilty as charged. But I'm kind of hunched over, not standing up all the way. The ceiling in my root cellar is very low.

Oh, and BTW vandy. I'm still married to my first wife. I always refer to her as my first wife, it keeps her on her toes.
