35877. It the time right for "shared services" in Bayshore communities???
by dastraw, 01/10/13 9:53 AM
You know....Keyport, Hazlet, Union Beach, Keansburg, Middletown, Atlantic Highlands, Highlands and Sea Bright.

Consolidating police Departments, Road Departments, courts, administrative services (Health, Tax, Recycling etc) and possibly school districts as well could yield some very dramatic cost savings for all those communities.

It's an ongoing discussion on the Highlands forum that I linked to.

They also have a Middletown forum that I have been trying to generate some interest in:

http://www.ahherald.com/forum/index.php/board...

I copied your lost dog post to that forum.

Do you still have the dog?

If you are looking to get rid of it I think DaStraw would be give it a good home.

I totally agree, Jessie. Why merge goverments and lose each town's individual autonomy. But I stongly believe , that the sharing of services allows each town to enter into an arrangement that will help save money, lower taxes and still give towns the ability to control their own destiny. You start off with renewable one year agreements that allow towns to judge the results before making any long term committments. In effect you build on trust that is dictated by results. Continue what works, revise or eliminate that which doesn't work.

But its worth a shot, no?

You got one pass from me here lad, you don't deserve a second.

Jessie, the first time this clown responde to you missing dog post he asked, "which eye is missing". Innocent then, I doubt it but after these comments I firmly doubt it. Here is what this arsehole said in the AH Herald he wants everyone to join. Form your own conclusion, Jessie!

35860. Ask Allen!

So Allen tell me, do you find this post on your Middletown forum to be an insulting, insensitive and lame attempt at humor?

The thread was started on Topix and brought here by your new "good will ambassador". And if you'll go there you find another insensitive and lame humor attempt by this individual asking Jessie "which eye is missing".

Why then do you allow this individual to post on your forum while he proclaims elsewhere, including here, that you have "banned me" from your forum??? Re: One eyed dog found.« Reply #1 on: Today at 07:29:44 AM »

To date, no one has found the dog's owners or its other eye.

I know a lot of dogs were left in shelters after Sandy because the owners couldn't bring them to their temporary homes. On the news the other day a shelter somewhere still had 130 dogs that people never came back to claim. Sad.

I'm sorry, I didn't know you ran this forum.

You sure are putting a lot of effort into trying to stop me from posting on the Atlantic Highlands Herald Middletown forum.

I guess that is because you are banned from posting there.

Stay obsessed my friend.

I agree. Very sad about the animals at the shelter. It's a shame how people go out of their way to make comments about something so serious as to someone missing their dog with an obvious health condition such as a missing eye. What a fool! Only a person miserable with themselves could sit there and ponder on how to ridicule a situation like that! Btw thanks for reposting that on another forum.

You are confused Jessie.

I am the person that posted the comment about the shelter not Dastraw.

And I was the first one to post your found dog post on another forum.

And yes Jessie, I made light of the fact that the dog has one eye.

You know why I did that Jessie? Because the dog has one eye.

I have known dogs that had three legs that were absolutely fine animals.

They didn't know they were missing a leg and got around just as well without it.

I have also known people who have lost their sense of humor like straw and apparently you.

I did you a favor Jessie by posting your found dog post on another Middletown forum that has more traffic than this place.

But instead of thanking me, you called me a fool.

I guess no good deed go unpunished, eh Jessie?

You fell victim to a bitter person who goes from forum to forum trying to instigate drama like he did here?

Did you also know that he copied your post above where you called me a fool to another forum?

You made his day by speaking poorly about his obsession, me.

Did you know that straw has been banned from posting on two separate Middletown forums because he is toxic and he does things like this?

I did you a favor Jessie. Dastraw used you to get at me because he is a sick individual.

Have a nice day.

Well thanks to however reposted my post. I didn't fall victim to anything. I made my own decision based on the face you made light of a situation that isn't too "light" to me anyway. I guess that's your own opinion that you like to bash a helpless victim of abandonment (dog) its quite obvious we dont share the same sense of humor . I don't keep going back and forth on posts.so on that note you have a splendid day as well.:)

Here’s what happened Jessie.

In the course of doing YOU a favor, I made a joke.

You don’t like my style or my sense of humor, fine.

But I was doing you a favor and you in return insulted me.

You were used by someone who wanted this exact thing to happen.

Maybe next time you should lay out the requirements for trying to you help beforehand.

BTW, you are welcome.

Jessie there is a history with this poster that is both long and wacky to say the least. You'd be best to limit if not avoid any dealings with this higly sensitive (lol...you insulted him) and fragile poster who can use his "humor" to make fun of a one eyed dog and then say you insulted him when you hold him accountable for his insensitivity!

Draw no conclusions from what I've said, just be aware of what I've said and proceed cautiously with this individual. In time, he'll prove my advice to you be sound.
