Cal Ripken Baseball

This past weekend our family attended and participated in the Cal Ripken 12 yr old State tournament. It was our first visit to the town and we were pleasantly surprised by the water feature by the ballpark. Unfortunatley 3 trips on separate days to the ballpark, ended by having our coaching staff kicked out by some young inexperienced umpires. It was apparent that these young men were more concerned about their ego's, and less about what they were taking part in. The tournament director, I believe, started with nitpicking, equipment, lack of names on uniforms, and phony bologna stuff. Not to mention we discovered after the tournament most of the families were overcharged at the entrance to get in. I could type for probably 3 hours about how disgusted we were with the tournament director, umpires, and the manner in which they conducted themselves. Our team drove 2 1/2 hours one way three different days to attend this tournament. We were treated like trash from the first game on. I hope I get some feedback from some local people that can tell me how these idiots were selected, and what drives them to act in such a manner.
