Teresa is a wonderful human being and everyone that knows her loves her. she is a cancer survivor and inspires every one she comes in contact with.

I'm not trying to be mean and I am so glad to hear that she beat cancer. I'm also not saying that she is a bad person. But being a cancer survivor is not an excuse for anyone to drive under the influence of anything. There is no excuse for that senseless behavior.

Not that it makes much difference, but she was driving under the influence of taking pain killers - most likeky due to what she went through to get rid of her Cancer - and not alochol intoxication.

i think we all assumed that and i hope you don't think because they are prescribed that makes it ok or because she had cancer that makes it ok. it doesnt

In my first sentence, I stated, "Not that it makes much difference, but..." I'm confused as to how you intrepreted that to mean I was implying it is ok to drive under the influence. Most people automatically assume that DUI is associated with alochol, and I do think there's a difference between a healthy lush getting behind the wheel of a car and someone who was given medication for pain that may have driven somewhere, fallen ill, and took a second pain pill before driving home not realizing the influence it was having on judgement, etc. However, it is wrong to drive under the influence of anything that impairs your ability to drive. I was merely clarifying the DUI was prescribed drug and not alochol related.

tell that to families who have lost family members in a accident because someone was high on drugs and driving on the highway. most Medication tells you not to operate machinery on the label it is no different than alcohol !!

most people around here are on medication which is being prescribed, overly prescribed usually. You cant even use this excuse because if you are taking medication you should have someone else drive you just like you would if you were drinking alcohol.
