I hope he's okay, and it's good that people are praying for him. But why the well-wishes on Topix? It's not like he's going to be on here reading them, just sayin'...

I don't think they're doing it so he'll read it. People on here talk to each other about whatever thread they're posting on, pretty much like me and you are doing.

Played for Kenny as many in Middlesboro have. He was always nice to his players and treated all of us with respect. You wanted to play hard for him because he treated you so well. It's funny that as I have gotten older so many things he said to us as a team has stuck in my head. I randomly think of things he said dealing with the normal stresses of life. He touched a lot of people and made a difference in many young peoples lives. I know he did mine.

My thoughts and prayers go out to his family and to him and hope that god helps him pull through.

Jim,

Maybe my reading comprehension skills aren't as strong as yours, but as I re-read some of these posts they seem to be clearly directed to Kenny and/or his family.

I could be wrong...but I rarely am.

Yes, they were clearly meant for his family! During times of illness and death some families do frequent Topix. I would imagine this is for their emotional support.
So mark this one up in your "I'm very wrong!!" category.

Who, in their right mind, goes to a web forum where people post anonymously for "emotional support"? That is irrational behavior.

If I am wrong because people are behaving irrationally than I am fine with being wrong.

No brain, you're absolutely right. Your comprehension skills are obviously no match for mine, because if you re-re-read what I typed, I said "I don't think they're intended for Kenny." I know the way I said it was kind of vague, but I was implying that who in there right mind would expect someone that's allegedly in the hospital with a possible brain tumor to get on here and see all the well wishes for them? This could be one of those rare moments you were speaking about...

You wrote:

I countered with an assertion that most of the comments are directed to him or his family. What other conclusion could someone like me, with strong reading comprehension skills, summise from that sentence? I'm afraid you're a poor writer (as you somewhat admitted).

Jim and No brainer, are you really fighting about reading and writing skills when this thread is for thoughts and prayers for Kenny and his family???? How incredibly selfish! Wow is all I can say! Praying for Kenny and his family!

Are you lecturing us about fighting when this thread is for thoughts andf prayers for Kenny and his family?

Again, I don't think Kenny or his family will read your comment. Just think and pray without advertising it.

Last I heard, his condition is still serious but stable. He's in Fort Sanders RMC, Knoxville.
