publishing names & pics of drug arrests

Something im trying to push locally that most of you will agree with and only the drug users and pushers will not agree with.

In several East Tennessee communities, Morristown included, right in front of many cash registers, the community has a small newspaper similar to a Trading Post newspaper or one of those circulars you see all over town, showing hundreds of vehicles for sale.

But these small newspapers have something totally different. Right on the very front page (which is really easy to see) when coming up to a cash register, is Mug Shots in color, staring the person right in the face, of those who wants to buy a candy bar, a soft drink, or even to pay for their gasoline.

These very colorful mug shots, one cannot miss.
Again, staring at anyone right in the face.
Those mug shots are those who have been arrested for drug offenses.
Not just from recent arrests, but old arrests as well.

We should welcome this type of small newspaper to our town, so that employers will be able to see those drug varmints all over town, who may have missed those employees going to court, when they are suppose to be home sick.

Hooray for a small town newspaper such as this. Im all for it and writing as many letters that I possibly can, to bring this type of newspaper to Middlesboro and Pineville.

HAD NO IDEA THIS WOULD COME SO QUICK.

I can see you have already set yourself on a pedastal. When it is YOUR loved one that messed up and YOUR heart is torn in pieces, you will see things a little different. Never say never, could be YOUR face next. I detest those papers. It is nothing but a mockery. I know they raise the money for UNITE, but it is like a double jeopardy. Tearing down what they are trying to help! Like all, this is just my opinion.

I think this would be good idea for the whole tri-state area. After all, when they go to court,it IS a matter of public record. I can tell you now that such a paper will be thick.

It appears that the only people that do not want a circular or flyer sold in front of cash registers, are people who keep on getting arrested for drugs.
They need to get their names and pictures up in lights.
When they get arrested, perhaps their bosses will finally see that when they called in sick, they were not actually sick.
Theres only one thing i wish upon all these drug addicts.
Thats DEATH.

got one, don't do pills, worked at bell county coal for 6 years now and they drug test at random..but why don't you get off you daddys nuts and work a real job instaed of taking what him and his dad worked for...i do know alot of drug dealers and if you people only knew who really had control over this and why it wont be stopped you all would move or stop crying...they either run your company you work for, own the house your buying or you just got that nice new car from them..the real dealers in town don't use the stuff open you alls eyes this is sad that a town can be ran by drug dealers and you all cry about drugies

Well, up to this point, I have never seen any posts where a life has been threatened, either by downright shooting someone or burning their house down.
Im asking for an investigation of this Shaun character and if need be, a warrant will go to this state to uncover the exact IP address this threat came from.
This type of threat will not be treated lightly.
If an arrest is not made within a certain time frame, you will be watched very closely until an arrest can be made.
In my view, you are a dangerous person, not just to the intended commenter, but to your family as well.

Allow me to first say that I am not, have never been, or will never be involved with drugs.

I do not agree with these types of publications.
I think they cause more hurt than what they are worth.

An arrest does not mean one is guilty.
I believe these papers and jail tracker have made it so that people who get arrested look guilty in the eyes of the public. They may very well be innocent.
It is a shame that now you are guilty until proven innocent. Not the way things should be.

Don't support that trash.
