Suboxone Clinic: How much does it cost?

Suboxone saved my life. Counseling also encouraged me to invite family members and now they are clean with me. I'm under no temptations now, I've been going 2 years... I went from 4 suboxone sublingual films, down to one a day. I alternate one a day and skip a day. It's a miracle drug, if you have Medicare or Medicaid then your medication will completely be covered. Anthem blue cross will run you around $40 bucks. Yes they are expensive, I paid cash for two years but it's the best decision I've ever made. I can live my life normally without craving opiates, such as... "oxycontin, morphine, roxies, and such." The medication is very expensive I agree, but if you added up doing 1-2 30's a day buying them off the streets and then add up the cost of suboxone, then you will actually save money. Add it up, do the math & you will see. You can even pass a UDS @ a job with suboxone. It doesn't show up unless someone is specifically testing for it. Otherwise, you can keep this a secret & tell ppl your clean. All in all, you are clean it just don't show up, so you can be discreet about it.

To "Shocking:" Yho said that recovering addicts take suboxone in order to get high. You are wrong. I've been on Suboxone for 6 years along with a comprehensive and ongoing recovery program. It isn't possible for a person who was addicted to opiates to get even a little "high" on Suboxone. Addiction is a disease, and this drug takes away the brain's awful cravings for opiates. One must want to get clean to be on Suboxone because YOU CAN'T GET HIGH ANYMORE. Please get some facts before you post nonsense to people seeking help. Better if you didn't post at all if you can't be helpful or informative.
why do you think people break little pieces of the pill and crush it up and snort it?? we have been doing it for 3 years and it rocks us like where on speed. you can make the pill last longer than those shitty ass strips they came out with. the strips is to keep people from abusing the pill. so i guess different folks different strokes. oh yeah break a piece off and see what it does for ya and get back with me. but you are 100% right about it taking the cravings away but everyone that i know has crushed a piece and got high so go ahead and take this how ever you want it...

If you cannot answer what i am asking then dont answer cause your wasting my time.
there is a clinic in Mt. Sterling, one in Richmond, KY. the drug is covered by insurance but the doctor visits are not. It is a good clinic if you truly want to get off drugs. I do know people who have gone through the program.

the doctors who write these prescriptions are no different than the drug dealers. suboxone is a great drug when used for detox. not meant for long term use only 3-4 days. clinic in barbourville, self=refind charges $400 per month plus the cost of the meds which is $500 for 90 tabsif you dont have insurance. I am telling you this can be bad stuff.

Regarding the quote below, I totally agree. Only the person taking suboxone can decide if this is a medication they will take indefinitely to help with cravings. It's a personal decision that should be respected. I have been on Suboxone for 6 years, and I wouldn't consider tapering off of it completely. I'll take the least amount I can in order to still feel OK. I completely respect those that choose to take it strictly to get off opiates; however, please respect my decision to take it FOREVER! My life has changed so much for the better! Good luck to you all!

I cannot stand self-righteous idiots who are sneaking around getting high on sites simular to these, trying to bring others down that are trying. I just made a yr clean using a program simular to this, with 20+ yrs of addiction. Good luck.

I have great insurance, I pay about a 40 dollar copay, and I get 135 8 mgs for a 3 month supply. However I have heard that this is not the norm, and usually even with insurance people are paying around 5-9 dollars PER 8 mg, with the average being around 6 dollars per.

However I forgot to note that I did NOT go to a "Suboxone clinic". I had already been seeing a psychiatrist prior to my addiction who is allowed to prescribe them, maybe thats why they're so much cheaper.

Suboxone blocks the receptors in your brain that allow you to get "high." Perhaps opiate naive persons attempting to abuse suboxone could get high. They should not be using Suboxone. Get your facts straight before posting. I've been on Suboxone since 2005, and trust me, there is no way to get "high" on it. You have posted false information. What if you prevent ONE person considering Suboxone treatment from seeking the help they need? Shame on you. Do some research, and it sounds as if you have a personal agenda or issue with this drug.

If you are so smart as to not begin abusing drugs, then get off of this message board. Use your time more productively. Quit spouting nonsense to those who genuinely are seeking feedback from experienced Suboxone users. Good riddance.
P.S. Addiction is a disease, and is covered as such by insurance companies and treated as such by doctors. It is not a moral defect.
I'm tired of people like you who have nothing positive to offer to the conversation. Do you have personal experience with Suboxone? A recovering addict CANNOT get high on Suboxone. It allows you to go about your life normally without horrible cravings. I sometimes forget to take my Suboxone. If I could get "high," trust me, I wouldn't forget to take it.

Suboxone does not alter the state of your mind. You cannot get high on it. AA/NA welcomes those on using maintenance Suboxone. If you're ever at a meeting where this meets resistance, please seek another meeting.

Hi. I've never tried to crush Subs and snort them. I can only get strips now, so I'm glad I didn't know this before cause I would have tried it. I know that some people beg me for my Subs but didn't realize it was to potentially snort them for a high. Wow, for once I didn't know about a way to abuse my drug! LOL I stand corrected. I guess the manufacturer isn't as greedy as I thought. I can't stand opening the packaging for the strips. It's a pain in the butt, and I'm sure the packaging has filled many a landfill.

Great example of why our country is going broke!!!! We need to stop paying our taxes in just to have programs around for people like this. Too weak minded to start drugs in the first place and even more weak minded to get off them. I am not a big Hitler fan, but in some situations lining up sub humans like, the drug heads I constantly hear and see on here and in our streets, they all need lined up and shot. Put your ass in a pine box and get it over with. Just speeding up the process that your doing to yourself any way and saving the rest of us a lot of taxes, and head aches, not to mention cut down on the crimes.
I pay for my own Suboxone. If you truly care about the downfall of this country, go to a website such as www.storyofstuff.org and let your voice be heard. After that, get on your knees and thank God that you don't suffer from the DISEASE of addiction. It's an epidemic. Many, many upstanding citizens are prescribed opiates for legitimate pain, not realizing they are predisposed to becoming dependent and addicted to the medication. Why are you even reading this forum? Honestly, redirect your anger in a positive manner to help resurrect the democracy our forefathers created. Best of luck to you. Be part of the solution.

Suboxone is a miracle drug.
I also go to self refine. I pay hardly anything to go because I work at a job that gives us really good insurance. I pay self refined for the visit...but my insurance pays me back almost the whole entire amount. Also my Co pay is nothing for 6 months because I use a discount card with my insurance.

What is sad is that I see a lot of women there who are not trying to get help!
They do not work... so they take their entire check they get on the 1st.. so they can go take care of themselves...but what is sad is that they have kids!

I am happy that it does cost so much because if it didn't.... all of the people on checks would be going there all of the time....
U have to really want help to get into the program and be willing to make the sacrifice by paying!
