if evil did not exist no one would seek god. if their were no evi,l people would not feel a need to pray. if everything on earth was good and life was perfect, heaven wouldnt seem much better then your perfect life on earth. also evil on earth kinda gives you a small taste of what hell is like so you will have a stronger desire to seek god and heaven.
if their were no evil how would we know what good is. would good exist or would it be just some kind of neutral existance with no good or evil. if hate did not exist would love exist.
thats just my opinion others may not see it the way i do but hopefully it helps you fnd your answer but it may just confuse you even more. sorry i just ramble sometimes.

I wonder why Jesus said to resist not evil?

Perhaps evil is a teacher in some way.

Teaching us the way not to go in life.

I cannot imagine the god of love creating evil to trip man kind up in any fashion. That seems to go against the loving nature of this mythical, loving god.

I want to say a lot more, but I am tired since it is so late.

Thanks for your answer.

The way I see it he did allow evil to be created when he allowed satan to try and over power him. It could have been stopped with a snap of his all powerful fingers.

Evil is the absence of good just like dark is the absence of light.

Get a King James Bible and read Isaiah 45:7, and tell me who created evil.

Isaiah 45:7

King James Version (KJV)

7. I form the light, and create darkness: I make peace, and create evil: I the Lord do all these things.

Pretty clear too me.

Question? Who created Satan? I am sure it was your god. Remember, he created all things.

What I really do not understand is why did god allow a satan in his divine plan in the first place?

If I were an all knowing, all loving god, I wouldn't allow a devil in my creation plan.

Is my question a fair one?

I think he allowed it because he wanted us to have free will. If there wasn't a choice, then following him or not following him wouldn't be something we could decide. BTW, I'm ashamed of some of these other people who call themselves christians and the first thing they do is write hateful things in response to you because you don't believe. I wish they would realize that it isn't a christian's job to convince you to believe. Our job is to show you kindness and love and we can't do that by being hateful. It's God's job to get you to believe in him.

it is,and no one has a clear answer for you, because we dont know.Only God knows what is the wisdom behind it.And to all "good" christians, stop trashing and attacking other people for their doubts and questions.

I didn't claim to be a Christian but I am intelligent enough to know there is a God read your Bible again satan was God's most beautiful angel and wanted to take God's place so he cast him into hell read it again but this time try and understand it. Nothing you could ever say could ever make me not believe in him.one day you will wish you had

I believe Christians need to represent God in a better matter. Churches I have been to gossip and love to gossip and destroy people with words. If this is love then why are people hurting from their words. Let people be, we judge to harsh and are not in the same league. Represent christians, because you are losing people with your actions and claiming to be a child of God.
