I wish people would get this outraged over the way Amish treat their horses. I wish people would rise up and demand that the Amish stop letting their horses crap all over the road causing dangerously slick driving conditions. I wish people would get outraged over the fact that the Amish do not have to register their buggies or pay license fees that help repair our roads. Buggies do far more damage to the roads than a car does. Quaint and religious my foot. Get a clue they are just like all the rest of us. They have people that will do anything for money including abusing animals. I am not talking about normal farming operations for food. Raising puppies in a puppy mill is not necessary for food production and therefore can not be considered the same kind of farming as raising chickens, pigs, and beef.

I TRULY FROM THE DEPTHS OF MY BEING DO NOT UNDERSTAND HOW A HUMAN BEING CAN BE SO EMPTY INSIDE THAT THEY THINK THE TREATMENT OF THESE ANIMALS IS OK. IT SCAREY QUIT FRANKLY. DO THE CHILDREN NEED HELP, ABSOLUTELY BUT THAT DOESN'T MEAN WE CAN'T CARE ABOUT THE HORRIFIC TREATMENT OF ANY ANIMAL.IT IS POSSIBLE TO DO 2 THINGS A ONCE! IT'S DIGUSTING THAT SO MANY PEOPLE ARE SO NARROW MINDED AND COMPLETELY IGNORANT. ALL FOR THEM BEING LOCKED IN CAGES AND TREATED EXACTLY LIKE THE DOGS TORTURED AND ABUSED!!!!!!!!!

The Amish: Plain, Simple and CRUEL!

They are all guilty because they pride themselves on communal accountability, among other things (cruelty toward animals). They have to be destroyed, which is not difficult to do in the internet age. If a relative unknown (Obama) can rise to the presidency largely by the internet, how difficult can it be to change popular opinion about the Amish? One idea for associating the Amish with cruelty at every turn is to make sure it shows up as the most common link following any internet search. Who is with me? [email protected]

First and foremost, educate the public. Op-ed pieces to local newspapers, esp. those located near where tourists hail from, such as the east coast big cities. Add a signature to your email so that every time a message is sent out, the facts are there. The sig of my email is as follows:

The Amish: Plain, Simple, and Cruel
<link to website showing Amish cruelty>
PLEASE DON'T BUY AMISH OR MENNONITE PRODUCTS

Desgin websites that appear to be selling Amish products, or offering anything Amish-related, and embed a link into the page so that the surfer is re-directed to a website featuring Amish cruelty.

The email idea is esp powerful if you work in an email-based business. Hundreds could be sent out every day.

I see that the biggest problem is that the term "puppy mills" doesn't necessarily convey cruelty, only quantity. We need to coin a better phrase.

Remember, once the Amish/Mennonite image of "humble and kind" is lost and replaced by "indifferent, greedy and cruel", they will never regain their lost image. They don't seem to understand what is at stake.

Good, kind people who want to expose and end the cruel immorality of the Amish and Mennonites, stand-by. This week I will create a google group where we can meet, organize, and act. Posting messages online (such as this) will never effect the change we need. We need to shine the light on the Amish and let the world see what they really are. Stand-by ...

Angels for Animals in Canfield is the most wonderful clean and affordable rescue clinic I have ever been associated. they offer low cost spay or neuter to ANYONE wanting this service, and have never refused to take in an unwanted pet. They even have a 24 hr drop off room for the convenience of those who might otherwise throw their pet out the window of a moving car or shoot it. The facility offers SUCH a nice variety of animals(dogs and cats) and is kept immaculate with a vet on staff . potential owners are investigated like adopting a child (which in a sense the responsibility of a pet is like) For the woman wanting a Pomeranian check with Angels for Animals...if they don't have one at the present time they put your name on a list and contact you when a nice one comes in.

This has nothing to do with children. This has to do with greedy people that abuse animals for a quick buck. It is sick and I believe the people that do this shouldn't even have the right to have children because they must be sick in the mind. I guess animals are a source of income for you, or whoever can't get a real job. They deserve to be locked up end of story its sick. How would you like to be put into a cage with no water in extreme hot or cold conditions? Your ignorant.

I used to eat only chicken, but after spending some time in Korea, have grown quite fond of "Gaegogi", which means dog meat in Korean.

I have eaten many different breeds of dogs, but the Irish Setter has to be one of the tastiest! I am also against puppy mills because they don't feed them the proper diet to really put meat on their bones. Who wants to try to chew the meat off of a tiny Yorkie? Give me a German Sheppard any day of the week.(Had a stray on last Tuesday!)

If you are a dog lover like me, there is no need to buy them. Hang out at the parks, and you can get them for free almost anytime!

I think the puppy mills should be banned, in fact, let them all go. I live in Chesterland, and hopefully some of them will make their way down 322!

Scoop Scoop! Yum Yum! Puppys are for everyone!
