The farmer being the backbone of our country and a thankless job at that. They make very little money and spend most of their life in debt. Why don't the feds go after big corporate scumbags who have gardners, drivers, maids and child care workers without papers??? Leave the little guy alone.

"Vermont Agency of Agriculture spokeswoman Kelly Loftus said farmers were shaken up by word of the federal probes."

why would law abiding citizens be shaken up by a spot check.
There is no shortage of workers in the USA 10% unemployment. What there is a shortage of is people willing to work cheap under crummy working conditions, if the farmers can't offer decent jobs with decent pay & working conditions who cares if the labor racketeers go out of business.

Chop the each job up into a couple of positions and offer $25 an hour, Americans will be lined up for them.People will pick crops, milk cows and shovel nasty stuff 20 to 30 hours a week for $25 an hour.
Of course no Americans want to work 80 hours a week and live at their job and get paid chump change per hour when they can do better someplace else.

The general population isn't ENTITLED to cheap anything at the exspense of other people.

If people can't afford milk for their kids they shouldn't have had them in the first place. It's insane to say they are ENTITLED to it and some farmer should exploit somebody from some third world country to supply them with cheap milk because their kids are ENTITLED to it.

The farmers should be hit with RICO laws and loose their farms, clean them out for running a criminal opperation.

A Crime is a Crime no matter what, by who and for whatever reason. Maybe the time has come and it's overdue to let the Farmers either prosper on their own with no more State and Federal Grants as this COuntry can no longer carry everyone's financial burden.
Another Crime being allowed is our representation in the Senate from this State!!!
