1 If you ever get the chance, read "Prodigal Summer" by Barbara Kingsolver. It is one of my most favorite reads ever. |

Please read,(or listen to on CD), Barbara Kingsolver's "Prodigal Summer". I am sure the book and CD are available at your local library. |

- Actually, as the coyote is not indigenous to New England, they moved into our territory. Like humans, they are an opportunistic predator that naturally expand their hunting territory. |

Just got in from jogging this evening-- at about 8 pm still daylight a coyote ran right out in front of me as I was jogging. I was excited to be able to witness the coyote in it's element but at the same time he was just too close 20-25 feet in front of me. The area was flat for a good 1/2 mile -- he had to have seen me coming why wait till I was that close??? Also, I read where the largest coyote is around 40 pounds-- my dog is 47 pounds this coyote was much larger! |

Kill them all. They are the main reason for the decline in deer numbers in our area. Besides killing just about every new born fawn, they are also eradicating the New England Grouse and Cotton tail rabbit. We do not need them. Let the hawks and owls take care of the rodents. Name one good reason for them to be here. For those of you who like them, let's hear back from you after your dog or cat has been eaten right in front of you for breakfast !!!

Mike that is great idea Bring back more dangerous creatures to prevent the infestation of one not so dangerous creature. My felling is if you can not live in Vermont or any other state and learn how to deal with the wild life around you, you should not be there. But i would love to hunt cats and wolves as well when they get out of hand.

coyotes + wolves + mountain lions +.223 Remington = great fun. Hunting these predators gives them a healthy fear of man. You anti-predator hunters ought to check out this site: http://www.varmintal.com/attac.htm

I hunt coyotes!!!!Plain an simple, if u dont like it, u can leave right now. There are more coyotes out their than people think, they dont show themselves to quickly. Their FUN to kill, and CHALLENGING to kill, so why not KILL them. I think most of the people in this forum are on the right foot, but a couple have no clue what their talking about!!! Am I right?
