What on earth is going on here?

Who does Silvaggi think he is? Three Comptrollers in a year and a half? This is insane.

I bet Silvaggi's definition of a "good match" means having the Comptroller do all the First Selectman's work on the budget while the First Selectman runs off to North Carolina to play golf! Any Comptroller who won't do that has no place in Silvaggi's administration, which (thankfully) will come to an unsuccessful end in December!

Silvaggi got stuck with the law firm that screwed up a bunch of stuff, then they stuck him with a finance guy that couldn't answer questions or control his temper. That means that Murphy and Park outvoted him in selecting those. Theresa Mitchel was his choice and excellent. Too bad Park used Lasser to run her out. The democratic town committee is out of control in Brookfield and Tinsley and O'Reilly need to rein them in like they did on the Board of Finance and the Board of Education.

Brookfield is becoming a laughingstock! Three Controllers in a year and half, THREATENING our children and their educations from the Board of Finance, Town Employees dropping like flies, roads full of potholes, Big Companies like Costco being RUN out of town by a handful of uninformed big mouths.....this has to STOP!

Silvaggi's administration is the one that uncovered the $42,000,000 mistake that the failed Murphy administration fausted on the town. That mistake cost the town and the town has yet to recover. The potholes are a leftover also of Jerome "Pothole" Murphy, his legacy to the town, after he screwed up the high school renovation. What other town had to put in an artifical football field three times. Silvaggi fixed it and it only took once. In terms of Costco, they are still on Federal Road in Brookfield. Under the Murphy administration, half the stores in the Brookfield Village area went out of business and still are. In terms of education, the failure of Brookfield's education system lies with the failed policies of Brookfield's educational leadership consisting of the Board of Education who can not deliver for six years now and it's administration lead by a Superintendent focused on Special Education interests and not the interests of the entire student body.

Then there's the referendum results that tell you the private thoughts of the community. How many failed referenda did Murphy/Davidson/Park have? Seems they are the one's out of touch with the community and catering to special interest groups.

Typical Stevie, make stuff up when the facts don't support you.

You need to get a job, oops, you got fired from your $140k taxpayer job. for what, being a bully and not knowing how to use the computer system. Now you want to tell us how others should do their job? What a crock.

hmm... not knowing what happened silvaggi? what about all these "rumors" of the forceful resignation? i'm sure that you had a meeting with the entire BOS beforehand as per charter, correct? oh wait... you don't need to follow the rules.

I LOVE YOUR TRANSPARENT GOVERNMENT by the way... that is what you preached on your soap box if you remember... but alls we seem to get is lie after lie.

On what basis are you saying he couldn't control his temper? Were there incidents? I watched the meetings on the town site and the controller seemed kind of quiet. The only one pitching a fit was Lasser, and he's not the controller.

Why does the HR Manager still have HER job after the offensive remark made to a town employee? This town employee LEFT and it was a loss because she was good at her job. The HR Manager is STILL there after many missteps but the Controller was FORCED to resign? Why does it appear there are two sets of rules governing Town Hall?

There is written documentation over a span of months about the problem of the hostile work environment that will come to light shortly. I think the people are waiting to hear from OCR.

Tinsley and O'Reilly are part of the problem. They aren't reining in anything and they aren't getting my vote. Nor those of my friends.
