Did anyone else in Mifflinburg notice this sign, "It be fall yo!", placed on the public sidewalk in front of Mayor David Cooney's Photography shop? It was just this past fall, and it was out for several days on a commercial-type marquis billboard. Now, I've tried to figure who he was portraying with this statement, and I want to give the benefit of the doubt, but it sounds like a mockery of African American dialect. Soon after the sign's appearance, the black-owned dress shop across the street closed up and left. It may not be related, but never the less, what kind of Mayor would post a sign like this that could possibly offend, or make a mockery of, some of Mifflinburg's residents?

I agree with you. It may not be related, but just the fact that the mayor of a town would even put such dialect out on a sign for the public to see. Also, did anyone notice that when he was running for mayor, his campaign signs were only in the yards of the "elite" people in Mifflinburg???(ex: teachers, business owners, wealthier people in miff.)

Yes, I did happen to notice that his signs were in the yards of those that seem to have a self-serving financial agenda. So does that mean that these people share David Cooney's publicly expressed view of African American dialect?

Is David Cooney the guy that saunters around town in a black leotard? Because my daughter asked why his privates showed so much in them.

I wonder what Mayor Cooney might tell the newspapers when they ask him how much money he and the borough are going to spend on a new building for themselves--"It be about 1.5 million, yo!"

LMFAO!!!!!!!!

That's so hilarious that I can't even breath.
A mayor who needlessly accentuates his
junk with a leotard and speaks Ebonics, Yo!
What a multitasker. I bet his family of four is proud, Yo!
