New milk jug adopted by Wal-Mart, Costco

Square milk..not a bad idea. I would much rather have a jug with teats. But I think that idea was already proposed by the udder guys. :)

I wish my wife had new milk jugs.

There really IS no use crying over spilt milk.

These milk jugs are TERRIBLE. Everyone I know who has used them has spilled while using them. One of my friends said "someone should be fired this design is so bad." I'd rather pay more and not deal with the spills. Besides, with the amount I spill, it makes the difference in price negligible. An environmentally friendly jug that stacks AND doesn't spill everywhere shouldn't be that hard to accomplish. I'm tired of retailers/corporate entities knowing something is an inconvenience to the consumer but doing it anyway because it's cheaper for them. They are in the SERVICE industry. It's about time they show it.

I think it's a wonderful idea. Why are people so attached to the old way. If we (consumers) can buy something that uses much less of our resources to contain what we are actually purchasing, that is GREAT!
I also like the idea of cost savings! |

Hey, has anyone seen the new containers that Tropicana is using for its orange juice? It's suppose to be more like a pitcher. The problem is they went from 96 ounces to 89 and still charge the same.
Is milk still truly a gallon in these new, improved containers? |

I find it hard to believe that the jugs are that difficult to use. If it helps the environment, I say deal with it.

This jug is no more environmentaly friendly than freon. It's funny that the articly makes the statement of envirnomentaly friendly. But they do not cite why. They just say, it stacks easier, ships easier. Which is all cost savings on the packaging side. Which saves 15 cents per gallon to the consumer. But it also saves 50% on production, which only goes to the middleman. The poor dairy herder gets nothing, and the poor cows keep getting tugged teats.

I have a family of 5 and any savings on groceries or really savings on anything period, is appreciated. I'm thankful we have people in high enough positions to change the norm for the sake of others and not just for making a buck. It gives me hope that we still have people who are interested in helping their fellow man and not just all about themselves. Thank you to the designer if it means my family is still fed at lower cost - with the gas prices we certainly need it.

Why is milk higher in Texas than there?

If this is the only thing the American public can find to complain about, we are in trouble. We have far more pressing problems to worry about than the type of milk jug used. Our society is pathetically spoiled and obnoxious about basic life. Other countries with less would never think twice about this rediculous subject of milk jugs. Wake up America and appreciate what you have...... stop complaining and be thankful for your / our conveniences. Geez!!!!!!!
