opinion-PUBLIC ADVOCATE, MIDDLE VILLAGE,NY 11379
real estate-Competition is good and peoples awareness is essential. Think about this for a moment. In the industry there are whales that get more than enough to live on. It is only natural, that sellers choose the whales in their area, when they want to sell. The thought is the Whale is big and automatically will prove results, they way to go. Let us brake this down for a moment.
Real Estate Company (A) sold 100 homes this year already.
Real Estate Company (B) sold 12 homes this year.
Real Estate (A) HAS DONE WELL, AND ALREADY PUT OVER $1.5 MILLION DOLLARS OF COMMISSIONS IN THEIR POCKET TO DATE.(NOT BAD) The logic of it all is why do residents continue feeding this oversized whale, who consumes the most Commissions, in the area? Why do residents continue to feed the only Big fish in the area? Now lets reverse it for a moment.
Most everyday people today are not rich. They work hard to make ends meet.
You the resident struggle every day for your family. You live in a modest home, and for a moment think of this. Your neighbor lives in a Mansion,
inground swimming pool, a dozen garages, 12 expensive cars worth more than your home is worth. The best of everything outside the home and furnished lavishly inside as well. A tough way to reside next to that kind of neighbor day in day out.
Indirectly, you wonder what are you doing wrong sometimes!
But you and your neighbors keep giving your neighbor all the money from your assets, like Real Estate.
Did you ever think for one moment, that fat cat gets enough to eat?
There is others in the area who work harder just like you do, to support their families. So why is it only a small amount of residents give other Realtors a chance?
If a Realtor with equal experience, resides in your area, has an enormous reputation, has more endorsements, and recommendations from satisfied customers than the Whale of the neighborhood on the 'GOOGLE' site,
why not give the business to someone like yourself?
A down to earth, hardworking individual who is hungry to earn a living.
A DAVID AND GOLIATH STORY AT BEST!
**********
GIVE THE OPPORTUNITY WHEN THINKING OF SELLING, TO SOMEONE OTHER THAN A 'FAT CAT', A FAT CAT WHO HAS MADE MORE MONEY THAN A TYPICAL AVERAGE WORKING PERSON EVER MAKES IN A LIFE TIME. AND THAT FAT CAT SURELY HAS RULES & REGULATIONS THAT WILL WRAP YOU UP IN A SIGNED PACKAGE, FOR MONTHS AT A TIME, AND A LOCKED IN HIGH COMMISSION RATE TOO.
**********
Conclusion: A small Realtor, the David of the Community, who has been a President of a several Community organizations, Vice President of a Veterans group, one that has raised more money for a serious charitable event, like MD, and one that has been presented the highest award as a business owner in the History of Middle Village, one individual who has done more for this Community, than other business owners in the area, including that 'FAT CAT'
who keeps grabbing all the money draining most residents with exuberant commissions, should be given the opportunity as well in business.
Lastly 'One' who also resides in the Community he services.
As a Public Advocate of sorts, I try to bring clarity, posting about the good, the bad of the Community, and speaking my mind to locals, bringing awareness to all Community residents of neighborhood goings on(news), opinions, and happenings.
MORE RESIDENTS OF THIS COMMUNITY SEES, MEETS, AND TALKS TO THIS 'DAVID' OF A BUSINESS PERSON, KNOWS HIM BY SIGHT, SEES HIM POUNDING THE STREETS DAILY, THAN ANY OTHER BUSINESS OWNER IN THE ENTIRE COMMUNITY.
JUSTIFICATION, RECOGNITION, IS WARRANTED FOR THIS BUSINESS OWNER.
I EMPLOY YOU TO 'GOOGLE'*** JIM TURANO/BROKER ********
THE BROKER OF 'DIVERSE REAL ESTATE' ON METROPOLITAN AVENUE.
GIVE THE OPPORTUNITY TO SOMEONE WHO HAS EARNED AND DESERVES YOUR CONSIDERATION, BEFORE LISTING YOUR HOME WITH ANYONE ESLE.
THANK YOU ON THIS DAY, MAY 7TH, 2012

funny how brokers in this community do not even live here, yet they sell and make money left and right. so do you think for a minute, why the whole neighborhood has been going thru a tremendous transition. drive on admiral avenue, any saturday afternoon. go down metro and make a right by siltry supply store and take a look on any saturday. next go ride any saturday, in middle village south, from the railroad tracks back to metro. last but not least, dry harbor road to woodhaven, any saturday afternoon. observe from woodhaven up around 63 avenue area. several companies have their signs all over the place, the brokers do not live in the area, and all the new faces you are seeing is the new buyers. signs are a detrement. it gives advertsiements to that broker. and of course anyone driving by can just call and make an appointment. make the money and run. yet people keep listing their homes with those brokers. people who owned homes 10-20 years ago cared who they selected to represent them, now lately they don't give a ----. some street fair yesterday on metropolitan avenue. who runs it? they should have video taped it for the next property association meeting. and give a copy to the civic association too. the majority who attended were from out of the area for sure. just like those who attend the new splash playground on 74 street. most from out of the neighborhood.
yes it is a free country, but using facilities and parking all over the place, throwing garbage on peoples properties, with a care less attitude is disappointing. i passed one stand where a woman was taking chicken out of the wrappers from a store, and placing it on a stick. not washing the chicken and she had no gloves on. bon apetite.
well at least prior to the fair the garbage pails on metro were cleaned early in the morning. not for just middle villagers but for the oncoming crowds from all over.
do half the people in middle village care about anything?
can't agree more with your article.
think before doing anything for a change please!

residents of MIddle Village see this Broker on a daily basis, and he is more recognized in the Community than most Brokers. A hands on Broker.
His latest article, a must read, is on TRULIA-WHAT SELLERS NEED TO KNOW BEFORE SELLING THEIR HOME.
Very informative!

update: Thanks in particular to an attorney in the Community, his words to me yesterday opened my eyes on what I have been writing about.
When comparing Realtors, considering Realtors to represent you, it is the documented public records on the internet that should overwhelmingly assist you on making the proper decisions when selling.
A factual RESUME, of a Brokers background, accomplishments, endorsements, recommendations, participation within the Community should be one of the biggest determinations on who you want to represent you in the sale of your home.
In conclusion, look at the size of a Brokers recorded data on 'Google' rather than the size of a Brokers office/staff.
Hire the Best to represent you personally in selling your home.
Further example of an absolute no brainer, is take 3-7 Brokers names within the Community.
Enter their name__________Broker on GOOGLE.
See first hand, without a doubt, who you would select to hire to represent you and your family.
The Homeowner is just like a Company as an example, and the Homeowner should review an individuals 'RESUME' as consideration in whom to hire!

no david and goliath story in Middle Village,New York.
Take all Brokers names down, including Jim Turano/Broker
Search Google and see the biggest experienced most recommended Broker in all of Middle Village,NY.
A clear standout.
Not one other Broker comes close to the amount of data on one individual Broker, like Jim Turano.
And I like the fact he resides in the Community he does business in.
