<quoted text>None of the people in office now have EVER had experience in a government other than Carol. The "leaders" we have now have NEVER finished a full term. THATS why you don't start new governments without a plan! It's that simple. See how the Visions Team position of "we will figure it out later" didn't work? We need people who will listen to us, the RESIDENTS of MBV. Vote em out. Vote Carol in.
Carol apparently could care less about MB or she would pay her taxes which are way past due. She was a lousy councilwoman and has failed at every other job that was handed to her. She won't be getting my vote, EVER.

WOW you're right, I just checked the village web site Carol has not paid her village tax. How is she allowed to get away with that, is that perk for being a trustee? March can't come fast enough to get rid of her. ANYONE BUT CAROL IN 2013

That money is needed because the village bonded to load up with equitment and extra employees and the high cost of road repair every last dollar is needed . When they level a hove the rate goes to vacant land and the thosands it brought in will be lost for years as opose to a new buyer paying arrears and not a small demo fee - Nice work village idiots so post she is behind in taxes as the board removes tens of thousands and then spend the money they cannot repay.

So, you think it's OK that Carol the trustee has thumbed her nose at the village, and all it's residents and failed to pay her taxes. I hope the village liens the property and puts the lien up for sale.

And, while it is true a removed hovel does not pay taxes anymore, most hovels didn't pay taxes and the village acquired title due to tax forfeiture. Removing a dilapidated building benefits the community.

I asked Gail about Carol not paying her taxes in Oct. when I first heard about this. Gail told me she did pay them but not until the end of August, so I guess the village website is not up to date if its still on there.

I hope Carol did pay her taxes and whatever penalites were involved, however that doesn't excuse the fact that she was so late in paying. She should be setting an example not being the person who is thumbing her nose at the Village. She is a loser and that is a fact!

No we are the losers as long as we have Gary and Bill in there lying to us.
We need an open government for all, not just a few. And we don't need four year terms.

How is that when if the village could have rolled the homes into a non profit and a incentive for police and teachers as a tax credit. The grant writer - forgot never had one would secure etra funding for down payment to offset closing cost. That is what a person that knows about moving a village forward would do. The homes will have a higher value and return it to the tax rolls quicker that the vacant land that every neighborhood kid will be riding bikes on and neighbors dumping on and when little johhnny breaks a leg the village gets sued - That is great goverment - NOT!!!!!!!!!!

Bently, what a nice name. You would rather not remove eyesores to instead leave them to rot while someone is going to give out free money to fix them up? I heard the village is going to work with a well known housing organization that will build new houses for qualified home buyers. The houses will be new and they will be on the tax rolls. You seem to think your way is the only way.

That has been respond to when I post the forecloseure rate with HFH and the fact that the people buying could not qualify for a dog house. Ever her of community housing/developement grants or the multiple programs in place also the ability of the village to secure low interest loand for the repairs and the fact that the improved homes will attract as stated professionals that will lay roots in the village and with a higher disposable income can support local business and not impact the community by those not able to upkeep and maintain homes they can not pay for. May sound good but that program is floored and my suggestion or a modified will better serve the village. FYI a grant writer would be the conduit to be successful in that program how ever when the trustees never had any more knowledge than putting boats in and out of water this is what u get

You seem to be full of ideas. What would you do with the blue tarp house on Daisy? I mean besides removing what's left of the tarp.

These houses are collapsing under their own weight, fixing them up is merely make-up and a waste of money. Not to mention some on very small lots. Its great you have all these dreams funded with other peoples money. P. S. the village has a grant writer BTW

I ment to write Daisy, instead of Diana. Hey, no taxes were paid in two years! WWBBBD.(What would Bentley do?)

And, I just checked the MBV website, there is an ominous message to tax deadbeats.

Hey I know, ask her about it. I did and I'm satisfied with the reason. Go ask her if you are concerned. Did anyone ask at last nights meeting??

I would have a structual assesment done and abandon all utilities water and power have confirmation as for legal pourposes. Upon proper notice if owner /bank does not comply home can be auctioned with the stip that the village would allow 30 days to secure permits which in turn village will reduce permiting to 50% actual cost plus fast track so that a new home would be erected in a time is of the essence as part of agreement plus bond for cost of construction so the road disaster wont happen again . The tax arrears will be settled at closing and a judgement entered upon the owner if llc will get a better attorney than the flunkee now to pearse the vail not going to explain or educate on that ask a attorney but that in the of the cuff response with little time to think all through

Thanks Brady. Go ask her yourself why it's late. While you're at it, ask why Gary doesn't pay taxes on his house at his marina? He pays taxes for his business, but not for the house he "lives" in. Go ask BOTH of them.
