I am so sorry to hear about your son. There is justice and it will be served. You may never know about it, but I believe in Karma. At the very least we hope she lays her head down on her pillow every night and is reminded of what happened.
Just remember, there are two sides to every story. You are getting only one. I have almost hit kids on scooters myself. When they speed through the neighborhood ignoring stop signs. Everyone automatically blames the driver. I'm not saying this was the case here, but the driver was found to be not at fault twice.

The woman mentioned happens to be a member of my family and was dearly loved. We can go back and forth about what happened and it won't bring her back or make our grief less. We still don't exactly what happened. I do know that she often complained about the danger of that road when walking to and from church. She loved God and children and never missed an opportunity to share her faith with others.

Shame on those of you who called her careless or ignorant.

I second that shame on you....

She is loved and will be dearly missed. She loved the lord with all her heart and devoted herself to her son and grandson. She's a cautious person that was in the wrong place at the wrong time. nothing more.

Agreed. I am sure as drivers we have all experienced children stepping out in front of us. It's frightening and maddening at the same time.

It is the responsibility of the drivers to pay attention to the road and follow the speed limits. Especially in residential areas. Cars have so many useful tools these days, but that causes many more distractions.(Mobile phones, DVD's, Navigation)
