She was a very kind, courageous woman who had incredible faith and shared her love of Jesus with many children and people.

I feel terrible for this woman (the deceased), but when are motorists going to start being held accountable for paying attention while driving?! 9 times out of 10, if you are not drinking or high, you can get away with running someone down in the street. OK, carelessness by a pedestrian aside, it seems like a lose-lose for the victim every time- in more ways than one.

So sad for everyone involved. I hope the deceased woman's family and the driver find peace during this very sad time.

It is so easy to NOT get hit by a car. When are people going to learn how to cross a road?

My son was hit by an SUV while riding his scooter On my block. He was airlifted to stonybrook trauma. After being in a coma for 3 days he awoke thank god. This woman ran a stop sign in a residential area and was proven to be lying about her whole story.Including the direction that her and my son were traveling in. She got off scott free and we were blamed for not watching our 13 yr old more carefully.4 years later and my son suffers from PTSD, siezures, permanent scarring, back and shoulder pain, and cant even walk w/out listing to his right. Took her to court and again she was found not to blame. We were basically put on trial. After the verdict she was heard saying to her husb."we did it we****** beat them. I got away with it" Where is the justice?

I know the woman whose life tragically ended yesterday. I know this about her because she shared her faith and love of Jesus with my family and our church family.

What is wrong with you? She was walking on the side of the road like a pedestrian should. Not everyone has the luxury of driving a car around while not paying attention.

Slappy, you need to get smacked for your tasteless comments in the midst of two families' tragedy. What an idiot.

Oh, OK. At the time I posted, there was no identification of the victim in the story.

There was no identification of the victim because the family was to be notified first, however, I already knew the story.

I am so sorry to hear about your son. There is justice and it will be served. You may never know about it, but I believe in Karma. At the very least we hope she lays her head down on her pillow every night and is reminded of what happened.
